Guest guest
-Shree Hari- Namasste! Well spoken by Swamiji, people have argued, fought and killed over the gender of GOD. But I often describe Bhagwan, as 'The Divine Beloved', is it not wonderful to feel 'The Beloved' in ones heart, as a feeling of 'Divine Love', beyond gender, to feel that love for only one moment, will melt ones heart forever, but even if one sees GOD as Mother, then there must be Father! And the reverse! Somewhere in Gitaji, I recall Shri Krishna, referring to himself as Mother and Father, I believe. (I need a concordance !) Highest Regards! Om Shanti.... Mike Keenor ------------------ : Shree Hari: Ram Ram 30th August, 2009, Sunday, Bhadrapad Shukla Ekadashi, Vikram Samvat 2066, Ravivaar When you accept a particular relationship with God, God too accepts the same relationship with you. Whatever feeling, inner expressions come easily from within, settle on that same inner feeling and relationship. Tulsidasji says - " Tohi mohi naate anek, maaniye jo bhaave; Jyon Tyon Tulsi Kripaalu ! Charan Saran paave. " Similarly accept the relationship that is pleasing. Change that inner feeling for God. Accept God as either God, or accept Him as your beloved, or whatever inner expression appears sweet and lovable, accept the same with God. After having given discourses for many years, one gentleman asked me a question - I find my mother's name sweet. Many feel the same that their mother is very lovable and likable. She is the care giver. Even when one becomes very old, then too one remembers their mother. Mother has deep fondness and love and this has greater impact and influence on us. So this gentleman has asked whether God can be recognized as and called a mother? In God there is no difference between a man and a woman. If you call God as mother, God will come to you in the form of a mother. Shri Shankaryacharyaji Maharaj has written " Maat Krishnaabhidhaanaa " . He used to recognize and call out to Lord Krishna as Mother. Similarly you too may call out to God as a Mother. If by calling God as mother if more loving feelings are awakened within, then call God as Mother. Whatever relation your mind engages in, whether it be father, mother, brother, wife, lover, etc. consider God that. Whatever name appears sweet, whatever relationship appears sweet, consider God that name, that relationship. If you do not believe in these relationships, then you can make Radhaji your mother, or consider Lord Krishna your mother. But simply believe and accept.
