Guest guest
Shree Hari Ram Ram If there are specific analogies from Gitaji, that would be wonderful to hear and share with all sadhaks. Gita Talk Moderators, Ram Ram ------ NEW POSTING what is Sita ? What is the analogical derivation of her being captured and kept in Ashoka vanam, and being released from Lanka ?Hanuman= mana hanyate iti Hanuman= Concentrate your mind, by killing all superfluous and unnecessary thoughts= almost the same as Shatru-ghna, except Shatrus are kama, krodha, etc, where as here is wavering of the mind, when it is idle !! Durgesh Mankikar,MD -- Shree Paramatmane Namah Can Ram's life, character, biography, conduct better understood by these analogies? Knowledge of Truth (Divinity, Tattva) is not dependent on any analogies. So be it, Vineet Sarvottam ------------------------------- OM! While reading Geethaji, a specific analogy came to my mind which I would like to share with all Sadhaks. The word Arjun literally means the one who does not want to be born; jan for birth etc. whereas his son Abhimanyu is the one who is going with manah. If you dont want to be born already you are out of death because death is there only if birth is there and there is no death without birth as you go out of the dualities of birth and death. Futher if we see the Chakra vyuha is also internal. we have in our body chakras from Muladhara to Sahasrara. Abhimanyu that is the one who is going withe the manah only, can enter these Chakra fields but cannot go out. Whereas Abhimanyu's father ARJUNA knows not only to enter the chakra fields but alos to exit. How thrilling it is!OM! Bhuvangiri Badri Kishore -------------------------- Once Swami Tejomayaanandaji of Chinmaya Mission made a wonderful statement in one of his discourses … same TEN. One could employ the ten fold existence as a chariot to serve The Lord as Dasharatha did to deserve to become the beloved father to Sri Rama. One could employ the same ten-fold existence to create innmerable identities of pride and prejudice to get in conflict with The Lord as Dashaanana (RavaNa) did to desreve the wrath of Sri Rama. It is upto us ... really, it is upto us. Respects. Naga Narayana. ---- It seems there is a one to one correspondence between the characters in the Ramayana. The king Dasha Ratha literally means ten chariots. If we meditate the ten charriots are 2 legs, 2 hands, 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1nose and 1 mouth of the human body. Similarly, his sons Ram Lakhman, Bharat and Shatrughna means the internal instruments called Manas for Lakhshman(literal translation is aim of mind); Buddhi for Bharat because Bha means light and rat means interested in! What else can be more interesting than our own intellect called Buddhi. Similarly, Chitta for Shatrughna literally killer of enemies, chitta has thoughts which produce all enemies like kama, krodha, lobha, moha, mad ,matsarya; and Rama means the one who is totally engrossed in! Who else other than SOUL! Please Comment with all such similar analogies of our Puranas which give the ultimate meaning and delight. OM! Bhuvangiri Badri Kishore ----------- FROM GITA TALK MODERATORSplease be BRIEF, RELEVANT, AND RESPECTFUL.
