Sri Ramanuja jayanthi Celebrations in New Jersey, USA

Dear ALL,

 

Firstly, let me seek Acharya,Bhagavath Ramanuja and all our

Purvacharya padukas to bless us all on the occasion of Sri Ramanuja

Jayanthi. I would like to give a synopsis on Sri Ramanuja Jayanthi

Celebrations which were held on 4th of May 2003 under the

auspices of Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Asramam

at the residence of hosts, Dr. M.G. Prasad and Smt. Geetha Prasad in

Maplewood,New Jersey in a very grand manner befitting the occasion.

 

The event started around 9:30 AM with the recitation of

ThiruppAllandu, Thiruppalliyezhucchi, Tiruppaavai along on Sri

Ramanuja Suprabhatham. This was followed by bhagavath Thiruvaradhanam

where Salagrama thirumanajam was performed amidst the chanting of

Purusha Sooktham and Neerattam for 20 salagrama moorthis.

Thirumanjanam was performed for divya mangala vigraha of Bhagavath

Ramanuja in parallel.

 

This was followed by recitation of Sri Vishnu sahasranamam and Sri

Lakshmi Astothram followed by Iraamanusa Noottrandhathi and Sri Ranga

gadyam.

 

Then, the sathsangam had the bhagyam of listening to a wonderful 20

minute pravachana seva by Sri. M.G. Prasad on the greatness of

Bhagavath Ramanuja. It was followed by Paduka Aradhanam to all the

purvacharyas and Prakrutham Srimath Andavan of Srirangam Srimath

Andavan Asramam. The event concluded with Sattrumurai and Acharya

Samabhavana for Bhashyakarar. The grand Thadeeyaradhanam was arranged

for all the bhagavathas by the hosts.

 

About 70 bhagavathas attended the thirunakshtram celebrations and got

the full blessings of divya dampathi, Bhagavath Ramanuja and all the

purvacharyas.
