Ramanuja Dasee Many thanks to u for having referred the matter with me. The Vaishnava Divya desams are categorised in types which I states as follows. 1. 106 Divya Desams (108) 2. Purana Sthalams (20) 3. Abimana Sthalms. (29) Melkote is situated near Mysore and coming under category 2. There is no thumb rule that after visiting Saligramam/Naimisaranyam u have to visit to Melkote. To the best of my knowledge u have to complete the 106 (108) Divya Desams as sung by our Alwars/Acharyas and u have to commence from only from Sringam (first to start) and complete it after visiting all Divaya Desams of 106 (108) which is must. So totally it comes nearly 107 which is normally every Vaishnawait does it. There is a lot of Tamil books r available about these Divya Desams in Madras . We have completed 104 Divya desams out of 106 (108) by our God's grace and two left out is Saligramam/Naimisaranyam which is due. Will u pl give us the full details about your recent visit to the places of Naimisaranyam and Saligramam in deatail and with day-to-day activities, so that we can plan our tour accordingly.
