We wish to inform the devotees,that Thiru

Pavithrothsavam of Sri Perundevi Nayika Sametha Sri

Sundara Varadaraja Perumal, Sri Lakshmi Narayana

Perumal Sannathi at Velamoor is now being celebrated .

The readers may already be aware that this temple has

been the centre of activity of His Holiness during

His Poorvashramam days.H.H. worked as a School Teacher

in this village,besides taking care of the temple, for

many years, prior to taking Sanyasashramam.

Subsequently this has been renovated with the support

of Sishyas.Presently,Sriman Nathamuni,the

Poorvashramam second son of His Holiness is in

charge there performing Nithyaradanams, with

dedication and as ordained by H.H.

Thiru Pavithrothsavam festival started on last Sunday

and will conclude on wednesday(10th Sept.) night with

Maha Poornahuthi. Veda , Divya prabandha parayanams

are being done on all these days, along

thadeeyaradanams.Another feature is, the function

being conducted in a village and at the end of every

session, prasadams are distributed to the poor

villagers also.All these expenses are posible with the

support of His Holiness and

donations received from devotees and well wishers of

Ashramam.Recently His Holiness has spent nearly

Rs.80,000, to deepen the old well inside the temple

with lot of effort and this has made the water

position very comfortable inthis temple for this

Pavthrothsavam celebrations.

The directions for those who would like to

visit--From Chennai, proceed to Melmaruvattur, turn

right on Vandavasi Road at that place,about 12

Kms.from on reaching a sign board of Ramapuram village

near overhead water tank,turn right, proceed for

nearly 1 km, where this village of Velamoor is

located.From the turn left into the villge to reach

the temple.
