Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimath

Andavan Ashramam cordially invites all bhagavathas for a grand parayanam

of Swami Desikan Sthothrams, Sri Desika Prabhandhams and Sri Paduka Sahasram

at Swami Desikan Sannidhi in Sri Ranganatha Temple, Pomona, New York.

The vast wealth that Swami Desikan has given us is his Sri Sookthis through

which he has established this great Srivaishnava Sampradayam and Sri Ramanuja's

sidhdhantham on firm grounds. Considering that the attempt to do the parayanam

of all of Swami' Desikan's sthothrams, prabhandhams and Sri Paduka Sahasram

in just about 12 total hours is a mammoth task, we plan to recite with

three ghostis in parallel, spread between two Sundays Sep 28, 2003 and

on Oct 05,2003, the Thirunakshatram day of Swami Desikan.

The ghosti on Sep 28 will start at 8.00 AM

on both days. Swami Desikan and Sri Srinivasa Perumal share the same Thirunakshatram

day (Purattasi-Sravanam) every year. Sri Aadivan Satakopan's (the first

Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam) thirunakshtram (actual day Oct 01) is also

being observed on Oct 5 at Sri Ranganatha Temple. This is a Triple Bonus

for all Srivaishnavas to come to this temple that day. Sri Ranganatha temple

has planned a great celebration on Oct 5 with Thirumanjanam for Sri Srinivasa

Perumal and Acharyas, Purappadu for Swami Desikan and Sri Aadivan Satakopan

with other special events to celebrate this great day. Click here for further

details from the temple's website http://www.ranganatha.org/events.asp

We can never repay the upahAram that Swami

Desikan has done to us all and we should be proud to be born in this great

sampradayam. Please come with your family and participate in this great

Acharya's thirunakshatram, the thirunakshtram of Sri Srinivasa Perumal,

Sri Aadivan Satakopan and in all of these ghostis and enjoy the bhagavath

anubhavam as enjoyed by Swami Desikan Himself which is displayed in every

one of Swami's Sri Sookthis.

dAsan,

Badri Narayana sarman
