Andavan Ashramam

 

Many of you are aware that our Ashramam has conducted

very successfully early this year the first “KOODARAI

VELLUM – 2003” festival, in Chennai. His Holiness

delivered Thiruppavai discourse at that time in

Chennai Ashramam. On the day of discourse on

“Koodarai Vellum” paasuram, “1008 kalasams” of

“Chakkarai Pongal” was prepared and presented to

Ashramam Nithya Aaraadana Perumal, Sri Rukmini

Sathyabama Sametha Venugopalaswamy. It was a grand

sight to see thousands devotees participating

enthusiastically at that time in January 2003.

 

Based on the enthusiasm shown by devotees this year,

His Holiness would like to continue this for the

coming year also, at the Ashramam. This time HH will

be camping in Bangalore Sripuram Ashramam for Dhanur

Month and “Koodarai Vellum – 2004” will be celebrated

at that place. We request all devotees to participate

in large numbers and make it a success.

 

It may also be mentioned that this festival was also

very close to the heart of our earlier Aacharyan the

famous “Thirukkudanthai Aandavan Swamigal”, who

himself has done this once.

 

At Bangalore festival, the vessels in which “Chakkarai

Pongal” being offered is also being made of Silver, as

many devotees opted for the same, as a token of

remembrance.

 

The photograph of the same is being reproduced here to

give an idea of how it will look, with the image of

Sri Ranganathan Paduka engraved on the same. The

weight of the vessel will be approximately 100 to 110

grams of silver. Those who contribute for this will

get “Chakkarai Pongal” in this vessel with Perumal and

Aacharyan’s blessings at the conclusion of the

function on that day in Bangalore. The exact date

will be announced shortly

The sishyas of our Ashramam is spread all over the

world. An announcement is being made through this

medium to invite all those sishyas to participate in

this function, if they are visiting India during the

New Year holidays. Your contribution to get the

prasadam in Silver vessel as stated above is being

fixed at US.$ 33/- only. If you are in Bangalore or

your nominated persons can collect in person on that

day. If personal collection is not possible,

arrangements can be made to send by courier to any of

the addresses in India duly packed with Manthratchadai

from HH (of course, without Chakkarai Pongal). You

May have your parents or close relative living In

India, who would love to receive the same. To meet

courier within India extra expenses, you made US.$ 2/-

more and make a cheque for US.$ 35/- . For direct

collection it will be US.$ 33/- only.

 

If some of you prefer this silver vessel to be

couriered to your place itself abroad. In that case

please let us know and we will let you know on how

much extra it will work. If some of you want this

vessel to be kept in safe custody and you would like

to collect personally in Chennai, during your next

visit, please let us know, so that we can organise for

that.

 

The cheques are to be made in the name of “Srirangam

Srimath Andavan Ashramam” and sent to the following

address. Since I have been asked by HH to coordinate

the whole process of canvassing, I will be collecting

and forwarding to Ashramam, receipts will be made and

acknowledged by Ashramam. Any clarifications required

on this may be ontained through the email address as

mentioned below. Let all of us participate

enthusiastically and obtain the blessings of

“Choodikkodutha Naachiyaar, Sri Aandaal” and our

Aachaaryan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan Swamigal.
