Jan 2004.Nearly 350 devotees, both men and women, majority of them are from

Karnataka, had the great opportunity to have the darshan of Lord Sri

Venkateswara, in the immediate presence of His Holiness.This is once a year

opportunity, provided for the sishyas of Srimath Andavan.The members of this

, who would like to have similar experience, can look forward to next

year schedule of H.H.

This event was followed by Mangalasaasanam of Thaayar Sannathi at Thiruchanoor

on Friday 27th Jan., and Sri Govindaraja Swamy Sannathi on 28th Jan.

At Tiruchanoor, we now have a full fledged Veda Paatasaalai where nearly 60

young boys are being taught Vedas. Very soon this strengh is expected to cross

100 mark.When you are visiting Tirupathi, please make sure to visit this

Paatasaalai also.Adjacent to this there is new Marriage Hall constructed with

Ashrama funds,the objective is ti generate revenue for running Paatasaalai.

Tiruchanoor was a preferred place for marriages in those days, as against

Tirumala.The reason being that garlands or flowers are to be adorned only by

Lord Sri Tiruvenkatamudayan only up the Hills there traditionally.Since

marriages defitely done with flowers and garlands,Tiruchanoor, where Thaayar

Sannathi is located, is a prefered location.Added to tha our Ashramam now has a

marriage hall with all facilities

Srimath Andavan has since arrived in Chennai and warm reception was given at

Ashramam on the evning of 1st Feb. For another 3 to 4 months, H.H. will be

camping here
