Swamy Desikan receives Chatari honours I am attaching herewith one set of

photgraphs taken on

the occasion of the float festival celebrated at Sri

Vijayaraghava Perumal Temple at Tiruppukkzhi , on 21st

January,to 23rd January2004. This was held after a gap of

nearly 50 years. The temple tank was fully renovated

with public support,the vahana Mandapam was also

renovated.Sri Maragathavalli Sametha Sri Vijayaraghava

Perumal Trust made all these possible with public

support.This Temple is one among the 108 Sri

Vaishnavaite Divya Desams.Both Swamy Desikan(with

Vadakalai Thiruman kaappu)and Sri Manavaala Maamunigal

has separte Sannathis. This Shethram is also known as

Jatayu Moksha Shethram and the Pushkarani is called as

Jatayu Pushkarani, where this float festival is held.There is a sannathi for Sri

Jatayu, in front of teh temple near the Pushkarani.It is also to be noted that

the Dwajasthambam is situated outside the main gopuram.

This Shethram is also well known as prarthanai sthalam

for the couples, who do not have any issues.Sri

Maragathavalli Thayar definitely blesses the couples

who come observe the stipulated Vrathams in Her

Sannathi.

Swamy Desikan has made the famous sthothram " Sri Mahaveera Vaibhavam " in praise

of this Perumal.
