Srimath Srimushnam Andavan, Sri Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikan's 70th

Thirunakshatram was celebrated in a grand manner on His Holiness's

thirunakshtram day, ie. 22nd May, Saturday( Vaikasi - Thiruvadhirai)

at Sri Ranganatha Temple in Pomona, New York. Adiyen was one of the

blessed and fortunate to attend the celebrations and get His

blessings.

 

The day started off at 8:30 AM with the Sevakalam in front of Sri

Ranganatha Sannidhi. After the completion of

Thiruppallandu,Thiruppalliyezhucchi and Thiruppaavai, several

sevarthis who had come to attend the thirunakshatram celebrations

assembled with differemt sannidhis in groups to recite various sri

sookthis to mark the occasion

 

1. Sri Ranganatha Paduka Sahasram was recited in full in front of Sri

Ranganatha sannidhi

2. 17 out of 28 sthothrams of Sri Desika Sthothramala were recited

along with several prabhadhams of Sri Desika Prabhandham and

pillaiyandhadhi in front of Lord Srinivasa

4. Sri Valmiki Ramanayam -Sundara Kanda parayanam was performed in

front of Sri Rama Parivara Sannidhi

5. Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam was recited in front of Lord Nrusimha

Sannidhi

 

After the completion of these recitations, Paduka Aradhanam was

performed to the padukas of all Purvacharyas and to the padukas of

prakrutham Srimath Andavan.

 

Periya Sattrumurai was performed in front of Lord Sri Ranganatha that

included veda sattrumurai also.

 

Acharya Sambhavanai was performed in a grand manner in front of the

assembled bhagavathas. Sri Poondi Vijayaraghavan briefly talked about

the importance of celebrating the Acharya thirunakshatram and

significance of Acharya Sambhavana. About 75 sevarthis participated

in theertha goshti and received paduka theerthams of all acharya

padukas. A grand thadheeyaradhanam was arranged to mark the occasion.

 

Saalvai and Perumal Prasadham was offered as mariyadhai on temple's

behalf to our Acharya Sarvabhowman, His Holiness Srimath Srimushnam

Andavan.
