Guest guest Posted May 25, 2004 Report Share Posted May 25, 2004 A Report on Srimath Srimushnam Andavan's 70th Thirunakshatram Celebrations in Minneapolis,USA ---------------------- Srimath Srimushnam Andavan, Sri Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikan's 70th Thirunakshatram was celebrated in a grand manner on His Holiness's thirunakshtram day, ie. 22nd May, Saturday( Vaikasi - Thiruvadhirai) at adiyen's residence in Maple Grove ( Minneapolis Suburb) , Minnesota. The day started off at 8:15 AM with the Suprabaatham, Thiruppallandu,Thiruppalliyezhucchi and Thiruppaavai. Then The Perumal Aradhanam started for Salagrama Santhana Gopalan. During Snanasanam , Pancha Suktam was recited followed by Neeraattam. After Alankarasanam, the following sri sookthis were recited during Seva Kalam. Lakshmi Ashtothram /Vishnu Sahsranamam Dasavatara Stotram Sudarshanashtakam Bhagavath Dhyana Sopanam Sri Ranga Gadyam Amalanaadipiraan Kanninun Sirutthambu Adaikkalappatu Mukunda Mala After the completion of these recitations, Paduka Aradhanam was performed to the padukas of prakrutham Srimath Andavan. Then Acharya Sambhavanai was performed followed by recital of tanians. My father Sri. Krishna Kishore briefly talked about the importance of celebrating the Acharya thirunakshatram and significance of Acharya Kainkaryam. Then Bhojyasanam was performed to perumal and offering of fruits, dry fruits to Paduka followed by Saatrumurai. 6 sishyas, some with their families participated in Theertha Goshti and received paduka theertham of our Acharya. With Acharya's blessings, this grand occasion came to conclusion with A grand thadheeyaradhanam.
