Srimath Andavan arrives Chennai

His Holiness Srimath Andavan Swamigal was given a warm

reception by hundreds of devotees at Chennai Ashramam,

as He arrived around 6 PM, after His Vijaya Yathra to

Hyderabad,Aurngabad, Pune, Mumbai Bangalore and

Chittoor.His Holiness will be camping in Chennai till

May 2005.In between, a short visit to Tirumala for

Mangalasasanam is possible.

From tomorrow,10th Jan.,regular Perumal and Paduka

Aaraadanams will take place.

On 11th Jan. it is Koodaarai Vellum Festival and this

is being celebrated in Chennai Ashramam,on the same

scale as was done last year.Like last year,Chakkarai

Pongal will be offered on that day,in vessels of both

brass and silver.Due to Srimath Andavan changes in the

tour programme, an advance message could not be

made.However, as per His Holiness directions, we do

not want persons who have been waiting to participate in

the event to miss this once a year opportunity.The

group members can even now participate by contributing

Rs.108 for a bras vattil or Rs.1750 for a silver

vattil(weighing 110 gms approx.).Those interested may

cofirm their participation through e mail to

The payment may be arranged through any of your

contacts in Chennai directly to Ashramam and collect

the vessel in person.

Those who are in USA, may contact Sri Ramanuja Mission

Inc.,who are being requested,by this message itself,

to coordinate this in USA.We are requesting Sri Shyam

Sreenivasan and Sri Kesavan Kannan,to suitably guide

the USA participants about payment and request them to

insert a circular urgently in their group mail also.
