Guest guest
Respected Sir: With due respects to you all that can be done in certain 'baffling' situations is total surrender to the divine FEET of our beloved Lord. The mind cannot be used for this as we cannot depend on the mind/brain since its nature is to present the problem in a baffling manner and cause deep confusion. Continuous prayer in deep silence and Namaa-Japa may help to some extent. In any case, one assumes and hopes that you are already performing the Trikala Sandhya without fail. Needless to say, irrespective of the intensity of the stressful situation, the Sandhya has to be done. This is the single most important, the paramount requirement, the basic minimum and has a direct impact on all our Karmic residue. Apart from the Sandhya, regular listening of the Vishnu Sahasranama will MOST CERTAINLY ward off the stressful situation. Please do not merely 'listen' with the ears. You must draw the chanting as if you draw fruit juice from a straw. With you entire being you need to sink your insides from the pit of your stomatch into the chantings. All stressful situations invariably begin and travel in a groove inside the deeper recess of the brain in the form of thought waves. And since short of physical surgery you cannot touch or see the brain, the only way the thoughts can be managed is to 'hear' the chantings. The chantings have extraordinary power. Marvel at the complicated tongue twisting expressions and grammer in Chaste Sanskrit. Get awed at the glory of the exquisite composition, the verses, the rhythm, the rhyming tone, the ring of purity all soaked up in supremely intoxicating devoution This will make you scorn at the stressful situation rendering it totally frivilous, wasting and unworthy of our precious attention. Do not resist or try to get into distracting thougths to overcome the stressful thoughts. The chantings will take care. Guest guest
Srimathe Lakshmi Narashimha Parabhramane Namaha: Srimathe Lakshmi Hayagreeva Parabhramane Namaha: Dear Sandeep, I understand your position, please chant Sri Hayagreeva Storam composed by Swami Vedanta Desikan. Lord Hayagreeva will surely help you from your stress. Every day chant the first para of the storam " GNANA NADHAMAYAM DEVAM NIRMALA........... " everyday for relief. If you are near a temple please visit the temple atleast once a week. If you are in (MADRAS) Chennai, please visit Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar Temple at Nagainallur, another place is Satyanarayana Temple at West Mambalam. And the first Lakshmi Hayagreeva temple in Madras in Seva Swami's Manimandapam at Villivakkam. Also Please do chant Vishnu Sashranamam when ever time permits (Once a week is good). Take care, bye. Good Luck. Guest guest
Dear Sandeep: The very fact that you are able to reconcile to your situation as Perumal's prasadam on account of your Prarabdha karma is because of the fact that his grace if with you. People, in their foolishness, tend to blame the Lord for what is happening to them in their lives. If you can accept your current situation in your life as a result of your Prarabdha and do not get upset about it and still catch hold of HIS feet and surrender to HIM, he will give you the strength to wither all the storms in your life. I will quote an anecdote which is often quoted: A Bhaktha and Krishna were walking in the seashore and the Bhaktha was seeing two pairs of steps always on the sand. But at one stage of his life he was undergoing lot of trouble and he found only one pair of footsteps on the sand. At this he complained to the Lord and asked him why had he deserted him when he was in trouble? The LORD replied - Where did I desert you? The footsteps that you saw were actually mine as I was carrying you at the time of your trouble in my hands. That is the Karunuyam of Lord that if we take one step towards HIM and he will take multiple steps towards us. Many learned people have replied to your query with various suggestions and there is no need for me to replicate those. I would though like to stress on suggestion for reciting Gnanandha Mayam Devam from Hayagriva Sthothram composed by Swami Desikan. Personally, I have been on the receiving end of HIS grace on account of regular chanting of this Stothram. Wish you all the best. --- rsandeep82 <rsandeep82 wrote: > Sri: > Sri Srinivasa Parabrahmane nama: > Dear Members, > Im undergoing a rather stressful situation in my life with regard to > academics which i presume is due to prabadha karma,Ive been praying > to > the Lord for relief from this situation and hope for a better > situation,Can you tell me as to how i can overcome this situation > with > Emperuman,s grace. > > Thanking you > Sandeep.S.Iyengar > > > > > Mail for Mobile Take Mail with you! Guest guest
Dear JK & Sandeep,Very interesting indeed. The solution is very apt but a suggestion here - such Mantras should be chanted only receiving an Upadesam for the Acharya. Depending on Sandeep's lineage - Sri Parakala Matam (HH is in Mysore) or Srimad Andavan Asramam (HH is in Chennai Asramam) or Sri Ahobila Mutt (HH is in Mumbai Chembur Matam) - he can approach His Acharya and get the Mantropadesam.Warmest regards.RR --R RajagopalNew 76 Old 82 Dr.Ranga RoadMylapore, Chennai 600004IndiaPh 91 44 2499 6561 - (H)Ph 91 44 5210 7529 - (H)Ph 91 44 2249 1971 - (Factory)Mobile 91 94440 57848 -------- andavan To: "andavan " <andavan >Re: Loosening the bonds of Karma09/07/05 05:52Dear Sandeep:The very fact that you are able to reconcile to your situation asPerumal's prasadam on account of your Prarabdha karma is because of thefact that his grace if with you.
