It is a fine structure facing East with the Mahadwara facing to the South. The Temple housing a square Garbhagriha has two niches on the outer walls. Chenna Keshava is flanked by Sri and Bhu Devi . It is informed that when decorating the idol as Mohini or Venkatesha (during Vaikunta Ekadasi) He looks exactly as the form decorated. There are four ornately decorated pillars in the navaranga. One of the pillars has themes from the Ramayana, Bhagavata, Vishnu representing Vishwaroopa, Gajendramoksha, and Dasavatara. The second has Yoga Narasimha, Varaha Matsya, and Kalingamardana beautifully carved. On the third pillar are depicted Garuda, Hanuman, Kamadhenu; Kurma. The fourth pillar has sculptures of good workmanship of Balarama, Vamana, Vali and Sugriva in a fight, and Trivikrama. The ceiling has a carved lotus bud. The Mysore Archaeological report states that the deity is said to have been set up by Pandava prince Arjuna In Dwapara YugaThere are distinct Kumbha panjra or Kalashas done in high relief on the outside of the ardhamantapa and brightly colored. There is a very big mUrti of Udayvar which is four and a half feet Heigh. I think it is fairly big Murthy after Bellur (But here He is in Anjali Mudrai and in Bellur it is Upadesha Mudrai)DasanSridhar Version: 7.0.344 / Virus Database: 267.10.16/83 - Release 8/26/2005
