The idol was scultured by Amara Shilpi Jakanacharya in the 12 the Century . It is the same Jakanacharya who constructed the Belur Temple. We have preserve the ancient monuments and idols. Please see the idols which i photgraphed a year ago and also see what vandals have done. Such act should be condemned and please write to Hon'ble President , Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Karnataka to give protection to ancient monument. We cannot carve the same idol.
