Regards Vijayaraghavan REPORT The Vedapatashala at the Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam, Balaji Mandir, Chota Tirumala, Maheshmal Aurangabad was inaugurated by Sri.Vivek Rahtkar, Chairman LokVikas Co Op Bank Ltd, Aurangabad on the Akshya Thrithya Day, 30th April 2006.More than 75 guests were present. The team of volunteers managing the Ashram at Aurangabad with the total support of Sri.Nitin Ghadiya Trustee, Sri Venkatesh Pratishtan, Balaji Temple, Mahesmal. The Patasala, will be Tutored by Sri Sant Gyaneshwar Ved Vidya Pratishtan, Hursul, Aurangabad. The patashala initially will have about ten students and two teachers. Sri Sant Gyaneshwar Ved Vidya Pratishtan Hursul, Aurangabad is run by Durgadas Mule Guruji, a Sanskrit Scholar and Teacher. Sri Sant Gyaneshwar Ved Vidya Pratishtan has three branches and has more than 100 students. The Patashala at Andavan Ashramam will be their fourth. Apart from Vedas, the students are taught Vedic Sciences, History and different Sanskrit slokas. The students write exams leading to a Secondary School Certificate, equivalent of 10th standard. Sri. Shankar, Chairman South Indian Education Society, Mumbai had kindly agreed to sponsor the upkeep and maintenance of the Patashala.
