Dear Swamins/Devotees/Bhakthas Most auspicious day! Memorable day! Yes, indeed, it is on 30th may------not only 30th, but also 31st and 1st june of this year! Sri Hayagreevan , the first avathara of Sriman Narayana, at Oushathagiri, Thiruvaheendrapuram gave anugraha to sevarthis , by having " Thirumanjanam" It started at about 10-15 in the morning and went on till 12-30 in the after-noon.Milk, curd, honey, tender co-conut, chandan, turmeric fruits of all varieties poured abundantly amidst vedaghoshams, prabhandhams, and recital of nadaswaram.Devotees from far and near came and worshipped Sri Hayagreevan during this " Thirumanjanam" ( abhishekam). Sri U.Ve. Neelamega Battachariar, and Sri U.Ve. Narasimha Battachariar

conducted this Thirumanjanam in a large scale duly assisted by other Battachariars like Sri Srinivasan etc. At the time of "alankaram" ( sathuppadi) to Moolavars and Uthsava moorthi, after "Thirumanjanam", Smt Padma Ramanujam rendered songs on Sri Hayagreeva from Sri Hayagreeva Stotram, followed by Kumari Supritha & Kumar Sravan Prakash( both sister & brother) and then by a group of singers(ladies) from K.K.Nagar, Ashok Nagar ( Chennai) lead by Smt Vaijayanthi. Hundreds and hundreds of devotees enjoyed the songs and the bhava of singing as this was new to them. At about one o'clock , everybody had dharshan of all Moolava moorthis ( decorated with new vasthras, garlands, scented flowers) and Uthsavar Sri Hayagreevan. It was so wonderful and those worshipped at this time never forgot the sevai. Among those

worshipped were from Australia also and also highly placed bhaktha from "The Hindu" with family Distribution of all fruits ( Thirumanjana fruits)was done to all sevarthis. Afterwards , prasadams of Sugar pongal, Kadhamba rice curd rice and sundal were distributed abundantly to all in betal-nut plate and dhonnai. Sevarthis came in large numbers till about 9 p.m in the night hearing the excellent alankaram and sevai of Sri Hayagreevan The next day (31-5-06) the Mahamandapa prathishtabhana uthsav was commenced at about 6 o'clock in the evening. Eminent vidwan of Vaikanasa aghama from Pulavanur came and performed the prathishtabhanam and homam, in the Mahamandap in the presence of Sri Hayagreevan. Sri U.Ve. Narasimha Battachariar ably assisted in this homam etc . This homam lasted two hours. After neivedyam of "rava kesari", this

was distributed to all sevarthis On 1st june, the dedication function was started at about 10-15 in the fore-noon in the presence of large number of sevarthis. It was thursday and also marriage day. More or less 80 marriages were performed on this day alone and hence there were large number of devotees . After "Thiruvaradhanam " to Sri Hahyagreevan, Sri U.Ve. Neelamega Battachariar( Parambarai Miras) Sri U.Ve. Narasimha Battachariar came to the Mahamandap. Sri U.Ve. C.R. Ravichandran I.R.S. chief Commissioner of Income-tax ( Chief guest) was present, besides innumerable bhakthas from various places including Chennai.After prayer by Smt. Padma Ramanujam, Sri U.Ve. Thiruvaheendrapuram Uruppattur Chakravarthi Soundararaja Iyengar Swamy welcomed the Chief guest and other dignatories and explained about the Mahamandap, contribution by bakthas from various walks of life

especially from U.S.( Sri U.Ve. Sadagopan Swamy, Sriman Rajaji and other Mahanubhavas ) and from other Indian States. He requested the Chief guest to unveil the plaque ( not a plaque , but a granite one with 2' 6'' in width and 5' in length duly engraving the names of Mahanubhavas as directed by the contributors of Rs 50,000/-) The Chief-guest unveiled the granite stone and gave lecture, duly noting his younger days visit to this Sannathi along with his father. Sri U. Ve.Neelamega Battachariar performed karpoora harathi to this stone, saying that Thiruman Chakra , Hanuman etc were engraved which require harathi ( Excellently engraved). The Managing trustee Sri U.Ve. Soundararaja Iyengar Swamy explained to the Chief guest and others , the back-ground of each and every donor. After that, the function of publication on sovenier commenced. As the expected important dignotory was

not able to attend puncually, and as there were hundreds and hundreds of sevarthis pressed for entering into Mahamandap to have a look, and some 4 to 5 parents were ready to iniate the " Aksharabhyasam " to their wards in the Mahamandap itself in the presence of Sri Hayagreevan, the Chief guest was requested to publish the sovenier. He was kind enough to do this by giving first copy to Sri U.Ve Neelamega Battachariar( Sri Hayagreeva Upasagar) and second copy to Sri U.Ve. Narasimha Battachariar who is also Hayagreeva Upasagar. The Managing trustee Sri U.Ve . Soundararaja Iyengar Swamy explained the special features available in the sovenier the stotras , photos of Sri Hayagreevan from various khsetras etc etc but apologised not to distribute the sovenier because the full view of Mahamandap is not ready( sudhai work such as fixing Thiruman Changam Chakram, Hanuman, Garudan and Garudan on both ends of Mahamandap is yet to be

completed) and then only the picture has to be printed in the front page of the Sovenier. . Sriman Chakrapani who is supervising the works promised to complete the works before the end of this month The dedication function ended with religious ferver and immediately "Akshabyasam" was commenced by the parents in the Mahamandap as all schools reopened on that day. On all the three days " annadhanam" prasada viniyokam was done to hundreds and hundreds of devotees and it continued even on 2nd Sri U.Ve. Narasimha Battachariar took keen special and effective interest in each and every item of events commencing from Inviting dignitories, performing Thirumanjanam , spervising the preparation of various items of neivedyam ( Sugar pongal etc) proper distribution to all sevarthis, excellent alankaram

( sathupadi) etc. Srikainkarya is ever grateful to him.
