Guest guest
Chinna Chinna Vizhayangal( Small Small things to ponder)-----2 --------- If sandhya is performed daily thrice, youngsters need not fear about " tension". That is why, upanayanam was done to children at their tender age during the period of our fore-fathers. This is for boys. What about girls? Girls should assist their mothers in their house-hold works. While doing house-hold activities, body bends ,hands do some sort of exercise including legs, hips etc. THere is no necessity to employ servant-maids; no tension about when she will come to work etc. House-hold expenditure can be minimised; house also will look clean ,neat and tidy Putting Kolam ---------------------- In the early morning ,making kolam in front of the house/flat is certainly an exercise to girls. Sweeping the floor, cleaning it with water etc are also exercise to girls. When there are house-wife and girls in a family, reflecting " Lakshmi Kataksha" in the house, why this mania of chasing a servant-maid,asking her to do cleanig work in front of the house and putting kolam etc?Is she woman-lord of the house?Certainly, not. Actual woman-lord or her daughter should do these works and invite Mahalakshmi to their house/flat Lakshmikaram does not mean having fridge, T.V. A/c etc. It means peacefulness, calmness, flow of virtuous thinkings, satisfaction with the availability of all materials, flow of funds for genuine reasons etc. This is " Lakshmikaram"If a servant-maid does entrance-gate work of sweeping, cleaning and putting kolam etc , who will get " Lakshmikataksham"? Please think it over! Carnatac Sangeeth ---------------------------- The ABHYASA of carnatac music to young, very young girls, by way of concentration of mind, respiration, breathing, while doing alaphana of swarangal , singing "sarali Varisai" , they will have the strength to face tension and drive it away. This is a small thing. But our fore-fathers showed the way of avoiding tension/ facing the tension and to succeed in it. THey have shown so many ways to succeed in our lives. If we take it with absolute faith, avoiding to say" speaking without meaning, Panjangam, tenth fasli" and implement them in our lives, we need not fear about tension. Bagvan has given five sense-organs( pulan).Ear, eye, nose, tongue, body( Dregam or skin)throughwhich we are having feelings such as hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting through tongue, sense of touch, pain, etc. THese are five senses of organs. The sixth one is mind of discrimination. Through this, we may feel good/bad , sin/virtue, dos/donts, etc. IN addition to these, there is one seventh organ i.e. balance--balance of mind.Through this, in whatever circumstances, we can keep balance of mind. This is controlled by the inner-portion of the ear and brain. If anyone looses it's balance, it creates unconsiosness/loss of peace/tottering /tension. Jabham/Dyanam -------------------------- To avoid such of these situations, and tension, and to improve the controlling of brain, Jabham/dyanam helps very much. Our fore-fathers never lost their balance of mind in any circumstances, because of jabham and dyanam. They did not know tension or anger. We should not confuse the angry of DOORVAS Rishi and VISVAMITHRA Rishi. Their angry created problems for the welfare of the world, for the good result. Those who read their charitha, got good lessons. Because of thrikala sandhya, our fore-fathers lead their lives without tension. Though we reside in flats, we need not run towards dyana class/ yoga class saying that there is no space to do/ congested area etc. We see somany Ads inviting to join yoga class dyana class to lead tension-free life saying that the fee is only Rs 1999/- etc. When we swicth on T.V. in the morning , so many men and women will be doing some Asanas posing to us. Aged people will have walkings.Advice will also be there to do all these in the early mornings. Are they running these classes free?Every month there are fees, besides expenditure on dresses, expenditure on transport( to and fro)etc. What is the result? Is there any decrease in tension? If we calculate all these expenditure, tension will certainly increase. But our fore-fathers formulated all these yoga etc in a simple way in life. Before sunrise, we have to walk extensively to reach tank river etc to do our early morning-duties( toilet, washing teeth etc). Walking is there. Ozone is pure in the early morning and we breathe fresh and free air with the result blood is purified. After morning duties, bathing, doing sandhya etc in the tank/river will necessitate our body to bend low, to erect etc which are all exercise to body. There is pranayamam in Sandhyavandanam.Nowadays, there are fees-collecting classes to teach pranayamam. Our fore-fathers left a very fine way to us to adopt without any financial strain and without tension. Meditation ,dyanam are one and the same. During Sandhyavandanam, we are meditating Gayathri Devi. At classes they say to integrate mind and knowledge. We are doing the same in Sandhyavandanam. We see people without mental satisfaction after spending huge money on yoga, dyanam, meditation classes, while it can be done without spending even a paisa in ourhouse while performing sandhyavandanam. Our youngsters can lead a tension-free life atleast now bearing in mind such of these good things ,shown by our fore-fathers..A question will arise whether it is possible to do sandhya, jabham dyanam etc in the flats amidst noise of shandy and crowded atmosphere. Itis in our hand to utilise the opportunity in the best possible way.We can do all these things , if we raise from the bed a little bit earlier. We go to office early morning, if we are asked to come. We catch the bus/train in the early morning after bath etc because there will be no immediate next conveyance. If we adjust for all these things, why can't we adjust to the good habits, shown by our fore-fathers?
