PAVITHROTSAVAM 2006

( 30th October 2006 to 5th November 2006)

With the Grace of Sri Bhoo Neela Padmavathi Nayika Sametha Sri Balaji and the Blessings of His Holiness Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan, the annual Pavitrothsavam of Sri Balaji Mandir, Dombivli (East). is to be celebrated from 30th October 2006 to 5th November 2006, as per programme given on the reverse.

Pavithrotsavam is celebrated to seek the apology of the deities of the Temple for deficiences and excesses occurring during the year in nitya, naimittika, kaamya aaradhanas (daily routines, activities as prescribed in shastras, and aaradhanas performed for fulfilment of desires), purification of the premises of the temple, and, for the welfare of the devotees and their kith and kin. 60 Aaradhanas performed daily for six days is a special event of this temple, besides the Havans, Recitations, etc. performed during the Utsavam.

No doubt, it is an important occasion in which all devotees should participate and receive the blessings of the Lord. All devotees/patrons are invited to make it convenient and participate in the auspicious event, with their physical presence, and assistance by way of donating towards the expenses of the event both in cash and materials.
