Dear Swamins I have today completed 72 years of age( Marghazhi, Uththirabhalkuni) with the anugraha of AdiyavarkkuMeyyan DivyaDhambhathi,Sri Hayagreevan and Acharyan Swami Desikan and also with the elders like Sriman Sadagopan( U.S) and with the blessings of others like Sri Sudharshan Madapoosi, Sri I.V.K.Chary and with well wishes of Sarvabhoumans like Sri Madhavak kannan, Sri Veerararghavan ( Canara Bank) Sri Parthasarathi( Pondy Wed links) and somany others. My memory went, went backward. Oh, what a wonderful experience at that period Bathing,diving etc in Kaveri river daily and wandering in the banks in tender

age Residing at various places durng employment ( Courtalam, Nannilam,Chengalpattu, Cuddalore i.e.Thiruvaheendrapuram, Neyveli, Villupuram, Chennai, Tirukoilur, Kallakurichi,Gingee Chidambaram , Panruti again Cuddalore, Ooty, Sivaganga, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Dharapuram, Ramanathapuram, Chennai etc) Rose to the position of District Revenue Officer & Addl Dt. Magistrate in official life ( Equal to District Collector) Had the opportunity of getting anugraha of Navaneethamswamy( Oppiliappan Sannithi) Sri Madurantakam Veeraraghavachariar swamy, 43rd Azhagiasinger,then 44th,and then present Azhagiasinger,(

even from the days of Poorvasrama) Sri Thoopul Lakshminarasimhan, Sri Mukkur Lakshminarasimhachariar, Sri Narasimha Thathachariar swamy of Tharamani, Sri Seva Swamy,( it will be a lengthy one if I elobarate ) There were pious, very pious asthikas with gnana & anushtana, willing to share their knowledge, willing to advice in a proper manner at that time. People,largely, were trust-worthy,God-fearing,with helping tendency. Temples were full of dedicated people( Archakas, Kainkaryaparar including Veda Adyayanam, & Adhyabagam).People will not loiter after 10 o'clock in the night in the streets and they will rise from beds in the early mornings. You will hear sabtha of Vedaparayana in the early mornings from various houses.There were no jealousy(Asooyai )between people,if at all there, here & there There were no

Computor jimmicks, mobile distrbances,late night-clubs cruel sounds,obscenes, at that time. There were mutual respects between each member of the family,and there were joint families to lead youngsters, to advice them to regulate their studies etc There were numerous best happenings at that time Now, population incresed. Employment opportunities increased. Temples increased.Religious magazines increased. Problems also increased.Jealousy increased. Cheating increased.Faithfullness decreased.Now, everything is business even in temples.You cannot expect a dedicated archana from an archaka,unless you pay sumptuously,or you cannot have dharsan of Lord for a few minutes unless you pay heavily( in most of the temples). You cannot be rest assured that the jewels offered by you are there permanently with the temple and they are offered to God

frequently. This kind of erosion is there in all walks of life,even in families. Though we say that we are advanced in many spheres, what is the use?Selling the soul and puchasing scent for external use.Did we inherit these things from our fore-fathers? No, certainly , no.Though there are somany samasrayanams, baranyasams,kalakshepams,religious discourses now a days, the soul is not pure as seen in the years of our fore-fathers. Dear Swamins I do notknow howmany of you are having similar opinions ,how many of you experienced like me. But one thing is clear. There is desire to do kainkaryams,especially from mahanubhavas residing other than their own soil. Because of untiring desire, you, asthikas,came forward willingly to contribute for the construction of Mahamandap to Sri Hayagreevan at OUshathagiri.This kainkaryam would not have been completed so quickly, if you did nor partake.Ofcourse ,the residuary work of wiring, painting etc have to be taken up and completed forwhich srikainkarya relies on the sale of " Kadhamba Mala" It is my bhagyam at the fag-end of my life to do this kainkaryam to Bhagvan with the financial help/other help from you, all. This kainkaryam cannot be taken away by anybody,even at a later period, because it is a permanent structure My daily

regular anushtana is reciting Sahasranama, Lakshmi Ashtotra, SriSthuthi, Abheethasthvam, Chathusloki,Thaniyans, Jabams of Ashtakshara, Dvya, Charamasloka Shri manthra,Sri Hayagreeva manthra,Mahalakshmi Manthra, Sri Dhanvanthri manthra Sri Sudharsana manthra, Sri Nrusimha manthra,Sri Sudharsana sadakshari, Sri Manthra rajapathastotra Seperate jabams on the request of asthikas/well-wishers for their problems

ofcourse with sathvikathyaka Then pancha sookthas parayana Then Madhyanniham , Thiruvaradhanam( There are morethan 60 Salagrama moorthis and Kalinganardhana Krishna) I like to mention here one thing. On 27th november,I slipped and fell down from the steps near South chitrai street, Srirangam.There was a fracture in my left leg-foot. With all that I went to Sri Dasavathara Sannithi,took theertham, satari , prasadam etc and returned to Chennai after a visit to Thiruvendipuram. As there was pain & swelling I consulted Ortho specialist who applied Maavukkattu and asked to lay in bed atleast for 21 days. Now I am alright. But before this occurance, I suffered with back pain very frequently for the past ten years or so and I could not stand or sit continously for 2hours. Because of

jabams, particularly Dhanvanthri, there is no back pain now. Baghvan gave a shock by way of fracture and cured the back pain. Fracture also is cured at this age Bhagvan 's anugraha is immense. I pray Him to extend this till He takes my Athma to His lotus feet, to continue the kainkaryams there at Srivaikuntam Dasan Srikainkarya Uruppattur Soundararajacharyan
