As for as I know from various readings i have gone thro till date,

Sandhya vandhanam is the gateway for all other nithya karmanushTanam.

Anything done without this means we are entering the house from back side.

which does not gain proper attention or weightage.

 

If there is any difference of opinion Swamin can throw light.

Shri Lakshmi Narayanan has hit the nail right on the head - there can be no second opinion on what he says. Whatever a person {a Dwijan or a Brahmin after Brahmopadesam} does WITHOUT performing the Sandhya Vandanam has NO value,

 

The Swamin is being very polite when he says " this means we are entering the house from back side. which does not gain proper attention or weightage " .

 

Actually there is NO weightage if any Karma is NOT preceded or followed by Prathas then Madhyanikam & then Sayam Sandhya - depending on the timing of the other Karmas.
