Guest guest
Dear All, I apologize if this has been discussed before. I recently heard that HH Ahobila Mutt Jeeyar has advised Mutt Shishyas in America to perform Upakrama one day earlier. The reason being Lunar Eclipse falls on Upakrama day. Is this true? If it is so, is this applicable for Andavan shishyas also? What is the correct date for Upakrama for people living in the US? Sincerely, Bharath
Guest guest
-Dear group members, Due to some holidays and travel, I did not keep a track of group mails for a few days. Now I wanted to get some clarification atleast now from H.H., who is now camping in Tiruvaheedrapuram. This message is now mainly for those who has not performed Avani Avittam on this Monday in USA.From the information appearing in Sri Sadagopan's mailings, I informed about the timings of lunar eclipse as on the night of Monday in the East of USA and closes on the early morning of Tuesday.H.H. clarifies that since poorthi happens in the early morning of East USA, you can take bath and do Avani Avittam after that and Gayathri Japam on Wednesday morning. Since the information of other parts of USA, like west is not available, those who are there and THOSE WHO HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THE MESSAGE OF SRIMAN SADAGOPAN, CAN ARRIVE AT A DECISION, IF THE LUNAR ECLIPSE IS OVER IN THEIR PLACE IN THE EARLY MORNING OR EVEN ON MONDAY NIGHT ITSELF,they can take bath on Tuesday morning and do Avani Avittam and perform Gayathri Japam on Wednesday. I hope that the information is of some usefulness to those who required some guidance, as Sri Bharat has asked.
