Guest guest
SrI: Interesting question. would like to say few words on chaga pasu nyayam. In vedam when there is description about yagyam, at the outset, Its said that the yejaman of the yagyam should do bali of pasu. pasu generally means four legged animal. then when the description of the yagyam gets into detail later vedam asks to employ chaagam. chaagam is vellaadu( white goat). now there are 2 places. one place says use four legged animal then later specifically it says chaagam which is a four legged animal. the yagya people employ only chaagam and not any four legged animal. so according to this chaaga pasu nyaya, "though in one place a particular thing is mentioned generally if later the same thing is mentioned specifically then in all those general places we are supposed to use the specifically mentioned thing only" this nyayam is used a lot in paradevatha nirnayam. for eg. vedantha in one part says atma is the ulitmate creator. its general description. atma can be jeevathma or perumal. other part says sath is the creator . sath means real thing . again its general. but there are places where it says narayanan is the creator. so this specifically mentioned narayana is what is alluded in those general descriptions like sath and atma. this is chaaga pasu nyayam. anyways learn more abt it from elders. " ivvarthangalai yellam pala saastrangalilum sribhaashyadigalilum vyaaptharaai, 'tirundakandu yennaku ondru uraimin ' yennumbadi irukum theLivudaiya dvijavararOdE seeliththu theLiya prAptham!!" Guest guest
Revered Aravindalochana Swami, I am grateful to you for the delightful explanation of Chaga Pasu Nyayam. You made it so simple that even a dull head like me could understand. May I request you to kindly enlighten me on Tatkrathu Nyayam also please?
