I regret to annonce the passing away of Sri A.Lakshminarasimhan of Pon Vilaintha Kalathur, early this morning in a private hospital in Chennai.He was suffering from illness for a few months, but could not recover, inspite best medical treatment and very good care by his family members.He is survived by his four sons, a daughter and grand children. He has been rendering a yeoman's service in spreading Swamy Desikan's works. He has conducted coaching classes on Sri Paduka Sahasram at different places in Chennai, like T.Nagar, Mylapore and Anna Nagar.He has prepared detailed texts and was assisted by a couple in Adyar, in computerising the entire text with the meanings and explanations. Paduka Sahasram. All of us were tutored by him, in addressing a seminar on the subject, which was highly appreciated by Sri M.K.Srinivasan , Editor Sri Nrisimha Priya (English) ,Sri Natteri Rajagopalachariar and late Sri Narasimha Raghavachariar Swamy,Srikaryam of Andavan Ashramam.Many ladies, who are mainly housewives were his many students and all of them were tutored to come out of their fear complex to address a seminar in the presence of learned vidwans as stated above.One has to really see the enthusiasm with which he was conducting classes, to believe. To conclude, we have lost a dedicated pracharakar of Desika Sampradayam, a vacuum is created and which will be very hard to fill in the days to come.
