RENOVATION OF SRI VAIKUNTANATHJI MANDIR., NEW DELI

Invitation to Devotees to Participate in the Kainkaryam

As you are aware, Lord Sri Vaikuntanatha is the presiding deity and Lord Sri Ranganatha is the Urchava deity at Sri Vaikuntanathji Mandir, New Delhi. In addition to the main deities worshipped, there are also separate sannidhis for Sri Garuda, Sri Sakkarath-alwar/SriNarashimhar and SriHanuman in the Temple.

This temple was established by H.H. Srimad Thirukkudandai Andavan in 1972. In 2001, a new set of Urchava moorthies of Perumal and Thayar and an idol of HH ThirukkudandaiAndavan were consecrated in the presence of HH Srimushnam Andavan.

Since the temple is over three decades old, it has been decided, with the blessings and directions of HH Srimushnam Andavan, to undertake the renovation of the temple, especially its Rajagopuram, Vimanam and associated holy items. It is also proposed to improve some amenities in the temple for devotees. The total cost is expected to be approximately Rs.15-20 lakhs.

It is our good fortune that on completion of the renovation of the Temple HH Srimad Andavan has graciously consented to conduct the Samprokshanam during March-April 2008, and convey his benediction to all devotees.

Devotees are invited to join in this sacred effort initiated by HH Srimad Andavan and receive the blessings of the Lord Sri Vaikuntanatha and the Acharya.
