Guest guest Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 Dear Members, Hundreds of SriVaishnavaites apart from several hundreds of Bhagavathas visited Thiruppullani and had a holy dip at Sri Adhi Sethu to day being Thai Amaavaasai. Here, normally on Adi Amavaasai the crowd will be around 50 thousand and in Thai most of the visitors will be Brahmins only and hence a few hundreds only will visit. Sri Gopu aka Krishnan, a native of Thiruppullani and son of Vaikunthavasi Bruhaspathi Thiruppullani Bhashyam Iyengar Swami(who served at Sri Ahobila Mutt as Aradhakar for more than 40 years here), now residing at Pammal, Chennai sponsored a grand dhadheeyaaradhanam at Srirangam Srimad Andavan Asramam . Sri Gopu is doing this great kainkaryam for the past 28 years on both Adi and Thai Amaavaasai days. Words are inadequate to express his dedication in this kainkaryam. He brings everything from Chennai, alongwith dedicated team of Paricharakas (very orthodox) in a van and spends few thousand rupees all from his own pocket. When overwhelmed visitors by the courtesy shown by his entire family and delicious sumptuos and very rich thalikai (the Pal Payaasam will linger in the mouth for several hours) ,offer any contributin, he will gently refuse but require their Aseerwathams for continuing this kainkaryam. We, at Andavan Ashramam, are very happy to associate with him. Srimad Andavan has instructed to extend all sorts of help to him .
