Can you please tell me when we observer (date / time) Yajurveda

Upakarma / Avani Avittam for 2008 in California, please.

 

Some say due to the eclipse on 16th Aug, we have to observe on 14th Sept.

 

Also where to get the punal and the sankalpam for Fremont, CA

 

Your guidance on the knowledge will be very beneficial

Dear Sevarthis,

 

Depends upon upon whether the solar eclipse is all pervading. If the solar eclipse does NOT happen there in USA but covers only other parts of the world {it may be night time for you anyway}, then Upakarma has to be performed on 16-08-2008 only. Adiyen will cheack with Srikaryam Sri Veeravilli Ganpati Deikachariar Swami & with HH Srimad Andavan
