Dear all, The ONLY Acharyan who performed Mangalasasanam on Sri Adhi Jagannatha Perumal and Sri Dharbasayana Ramar at Thiruppullani SEVEN times (from 1995 to 2007), The FIRST yathi who had "neeraattam" in the holy Chakra Theerththam at Thiruppullani,(prior to which no locals even ever entered into it ) because of which this Theerththam is now always brimming with water , that great Acharya Sarva Bauman SRIMUSHNAM SRIMAD ANDAVAN SRI RANGARAMANUJA MAHA DESIKAN will perform his 20th Chathurmasya Sankalpam at SRIRANGAM SRIMAD ANDAVAN ASHRAMAM THIRUPPULLANI from 18-7-2008 to 15-9-2008. All Ashrama sishyas and abhimanis are cordially invited to attend the sankalpam to get the Blessings of HH Srimad Andavan. Compassionate he is, our Holiness, with the intention that all should join in this Sankalpa Uthsavam, both haves and have-nots, has instructed that a small amount of Rupees Four thousand, may be received from those desiring of sponsoring a day's thatheeyaaraadhanam on Sankalpa dhinams. It is a world known fact that the amount collected (deducting the Sankalpa expenses) is used for samrakshanam of vidhyarthis in Ashramam Veda Patasalas which is again Veda Samrakshanam adiyen, on behalf of the Sankalpa uthsava committee, request all to contribute liberally for the noble cause. Dear Srivaishnavas worldwide and Andavan sishyas in particular,

we are very happy to learn through phone calls we receive daily that many of you have planned to be at Thiruppullani to attend the 20th Chathurmasya Sankalpam of HH Srimad Andavan (Srimushnam). It is our bhagyam to receive so many Srivaishnavites en mass at Thiruppullani which will be a very rare one. We are making all possible arrangements to accommodate you all. But........,

Many of you know that Thiruppullani, eventhough the most important Divyadesam because of Sri Sethu, remains till date a very small village with very minimum basic faci- lities where less than 25 Vaishnava families are living. This is not a very convenient place for a Yathi to stay for two months. HH knows it. But then why He prefered Thiruppullani for Chathurmasyam ? It is due to his karuNyam. He is an Acharyan always dedicated for the upliftment of sishya varkkam. And as such it seems he has decided that when he is at Thiruppullani on Sankalpam, many sishyas-- many of them unable to visit here not even once-- will definitely come over here, have a Sethu Snaanam, a sakala prayaschith tham, and thereby Blessed in their life. And hence Sankalpam at Thiruppullani. We request you to consider this. many of the intending visitors request for separate rooms on the date of Sankalpam. We request all to kindly adjust for a day. On other days we can accept the requests. And we hope that every sishya will be feeling that he is one among the family -- that Andavan Ashrama family-- and as such all on the day of Sankalpam will not mind any inconveniences, if any.

Still, we know that for some, there will be compelling reasons that make compromising with comfort impossible. for their information, we furnish some information on available lodging facilities at Ramanathapuram, which is just 8 Kms from Thiruppullani and well connected with transport facilities.
