Guest guest
Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya|| Hello All, As many as 15 antique panchaloha idols have been stolen from the 1000-year-old Lakshmikantha Temple in Kallage Village in Nanjangud Taluk (Karnataka). The temple has been built in 3 stages (1300AD, 1350AD and 1500AD) and built in DRAVIDIAN style over a wide plot of 100 x 200 ft. The five storied main Gopuram of the temple is of 50 ft height with 5 Kalashas. The Mahadwara (Main Gate) is 10 ft wide and 20 ft height. (http://kalalelakshmikantaswamy.org/History.htm) I have also enclosed the photos of Rama deity set and all the alwars. Please spread this to all perumal bhakthadis so that if anyone comes across seeing such an idol may report to police. It is great threat to all our temples with rate at which temple idols are getting stolen. I feel something has to be done strongly for protection of gods in all divine temples around.
