ealrier known as Thirukudanthai Andavan) of Srimath Srirangam Andavan Ashram.

Just now i am returning from Andal Rangamannar Temple ( Srimath sRIRANGAM

Andavan AshrAM - Jayanagar (Bangalore), A small gathering of Sri Vaishnava was

there and H H KaTandethi Andavans Thirunakshatram was celebrated , As Usual

every Year K R Krishnaswamy Mama led the Goshti. I had carried the Padukai of H

H KaTandethi Andavan with me . They did Aradhanai to that also. Then we had

theertha Prasadam etc.

 

 

As mentioned above I have uploaded the Charitharam of Srimath Katandethi

Andavan.I am grateful to Sriman Venkat and Shyam Srinivasan of USA and their

father, who kindled more fire in me in knowing my ellu tha-tha's Charithram , I

still remember the Wishes of all three that I should try to recover the Grantham

written by my Ellu Tha-Tha, Only perumal should help in recovering the same

treasures left behind by Great mahan.

There is an interesting story behind the KaTandethi Sthala Purana: The story is

like this: Whenever I Visit my native Kumbakonam on Loukikam or on private

visit my trip to Srirangam will be there , Once I alight at Srirangam Then my

legs take me to my Mother Goddess Ranganayakis Sannidhi and straight I will go

to Kollida Kerai and straight my legs will take me to Chinna Andavan Ashram (No

Pathashala was there in those days) { Now a Full fledged Veda Pathashala is

running} , Then it will take me to the Brindavan of the Great Seer H H Srimath

Srinivasa Ramanuja Maha Desikan a.k.a Katandethi Andavan In those days it was

the only Brindavan near Pushkarni. In those days The door of the Brindavan used

to be locked, Door used to be dived into four small doors and top 2 doors had

grill and through Grill I used have darshan, Then do 48 quick Pradhikshanam and

do shastanga namaskaram and Thank him and Perumal and Thayar for giving a good

fortune to be born in the vamsam of this gra

nd Seer. Now Full fledged patashala is , the doors of Brindavan is always open

and now Katendethi andavan has got a nice company ,the adjacent Brindavan is of

H H Mysore Andavan who was also known as Srimath Srinivasa Ramanuja Maha

Desikan , He is Poorva ashrama Grandfather of my dear Sri Sundar Kidambhi Anna

of www.prapati.com, USA. Now days I will pluck few Tulasi Leaves and wash it and

offer it to my Great Gfrand father and partake it and come back.

 

Now i will come back to Main Story . In the Chinna Ashram one Aradhakar mama

used to live ( I don’t remember his name) and The Aradhakar mamas wife's name

was Saroja Mami , we used to make a courtesy call on her whenever we visited

Chinna Ashram, Then speak and go. During one of the trip We met the Aradhakar

Mama also, we were talking about the Andavan Svami, then he sarcastically

remarked that You tell you are from his vamsam , do you know where Katandethi is

there. Then I started my research, then found out how to reach Katandethi. We

have to travel to Mannargudi first then take Bus going to Thalai Nayur or

Thirthuraipoondi and then enroute get down at the Village of Katandethi. Then i

made a first Sojourn with My Athai and reached the Katandethi village ,Then i

started the search for the history and roots of my Great grandfather; The locals

they did not co-operate ,

 

There is a very big temple for Anya Devatha was given to understand that There

is a small Varadha Raja Temple. The Idols were retrieved from Village Pushkarini

and it is in safe custody of Some Good soul in Village. The Priest of Anya

Devatha Temples are taking care of the idols and also some nivedyam is done

through a Sri Vaishnava Priest. I could not succeed in my mission.

 

Then two years back I went to my maternal Uncle’s place and I came across a old

book About the Anya Devatha of Katandethi in the end it was written a detailed

book about Katandethi Maha Shasta Puranam is available, then I thought why not

try my luck and decided to contacted the address given in Katandethi Village and

purchase the book ,which I promptly did and forgot , one fine morning after 6

months I received a VPP parcel in form of that book , then I took the delivery ,

then quickly went through the chapter headings, then I stumbled upon the Chapter

named “ Varadharajar Perumals History” .Then I scanned the pages and I am

presenting the same before you. This small e-book is also uploaded for your

information.

 

Then I am very much thankful to H H Srimath Thirukudanthai Andavan and Also then

Sirkaryam Sri Adur Asuri Madhavan Swami for bringing out the Picture of H H

Katandethi Andavan and present it before you all. I wanted to present the

details how the Picture of KaTandethi Andavan was published today itself but due

to Meeting in office i could not prepare it but i will present it to you all by

this week end.

 

As usual I appeal to all Bhagavathas not to generate any controversies over the

above E-book and to best of my knowledge i have given correct details and also

if you have any grouse please send me a private mail . I know that I will

receive brickbats and also flowers as my birthday gift today as i share my

birthday with my Great Grandfather.
