An important ,impressive and welcome information

 

Adiyen is unworthy to introduce to all of you about either "Daya Sathakam" of Swami Desikan or " Seva Swamy"

 

Sri Venkatanathan ( alias) Swami Desikan's anugraha stotram on Sri Venkatanathan's ( Sri Srinivasan of Sapthagiri) DAYA is well known to all of you. You would have enjoyed the "vyakyanams" of various vidwans on this "DAYA SATHAKAM"

 

Sri Srinivasaraghavachariar Swamy, popularly known as Sri Seva Swamy has written wonderful "vyakyanam" on " Sri Srinivasan's Daya " some 40 years back.

 

A command, yes , really a command to one of the "puthras" of this "Arasanipalai vamsam". Yes to a dedicated baghyavan of Sri Seva Swamy's son!

 

The command is to search for this "vyakyana" given some four decades ago, as the original itself is not available with them

By the anugraha of Sri Srinivasan of Sapthagiri and by the grace of Sri Seva Swamy, this sathputhran searched for the original and got it!

 

What a wonerful happening!

 

This excellent commentary of Sri Seva Swamy on " Daya Sathakam" is getting reprinted in shortest time

 

This commentary is going to be published in a grand function on Swami Desikan's Thirunakshatram day ( 9th october 2008) at Manimandapam, Villivakkam by the sons of Sri Seva Swamy

Dayasathakam

Dayasathakam an incomparable work of Swami Desika in praise of Lord

Srinivasa’s Daya, contains 108 slokas including “palasruthisâ€. Each sloka

is unique, reciting of the same is an enchanting experience. It is our bhagyam

that Swami Desikan has given us a treasure in the form of Dayasathakam stotram.

Sri Srinivasa Raghavachariar Swamy popularly known as Seva Swamy has written a

detailed commentary in tamil for this masterpiece approximately four decades

back. His Desika bhakthi is well known and he has given indepth insight into

this Swami Desika’s work. The total pages goes to more than 200 pages. The

great scholars of those days have commended the work of Sri Seva Swamy then.. Sri

U.Ve. D. Ramaswamy Iyengar, the great scholar had made a foreword for the work.

Seva Swamy brought out Dayasathakam stotra with his detailed commentary in tamil

in very short span of 15 days then.

Now, due to high demand for the book, Seva Swamy Memorial Foundation, formed

in memory of Sri Seva Swamy, have decided to reprint the book in rich manner

with colourful photos of Lord Srinivasa, Swami Desika and so on. The book has

been brought out in 20 days time and is going to published at the lotus feet of

Lord Hayagriva at Mani Mandapam, Sannidhi Street, Villivakkam on Oct 9, 2008 at

10 am (Swami Desika’s Thirunakshatram Day).

Mani Mandapam has been chosen for the release because of its unique way of

celebration Swami Desikan Uthsavam every year. The book will be released after

the mangalasasanam. All Desika Bhakthas should attend the function and get the

blessings of Lakshmi Haygriava, Srinivasa and Swami Desika.
