Overseas subscriptions for Sri Ranganatha Paduka magazine

This mail is mainly for the existing rs for life in overseas countries as well as for those who would like to enrol now for life subscription .

 

Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam wish to appreciate all the current rs of our Ashramam magazine in overseas countries.Many of you have enrolled for life subscription many years before, at the subscription rates prevailed at that time. In the earlier revision, it was $300 plus an additional annual cost for airmail postage at actuals. Ashramam was expecting from all life rs to pay an additional amount for annual postage cost . From our point of view, amount remitted for life subscription is exclusive of annual postal cost. We are sorry that if there is any misunderstanding on this at the time of registration of your annual subscription.

 

But from the records, it was noticed that many of the life rs are not making this annual postage cost due to various reasons. From all the existing rs, Ashramam expectation is only the additional annual postage cost, irrespective of the amount what they paid at the time registration at different point of times.

 

At the same time, Our Ashramam, till now has not stopped sending by airmail to any of the already enrolled rs. If somebody has not received any issue of a particular month, they may check up whether they have notified the address change to Ashramam and whether you received an acknowledgement on that from the next issue. Why we point out this, is, every month, our Ashramam receives 3 to 4 copies of our magazine from overseas as undelivered. Those who missed getting copies, may please note this point. Inspite of this, if somebody misses an issue, let them send an e mail to me at r_sv and I will do the needful.

 

Yesterday, I had a discussion with Sri Sarangarajan , who is the coordinator for the mailings at Ashramam, he has the following message to be conveyed to all existing rs and also for those , who would like to enroll now for life subscription.

 

All existing rs are requested to remit US$ 400,which is exclusive for meeting the Airmail post cost for a period of 20 years. You may please note that for each issue every month at the existing rates ,Rs. 125 is being paid locally for airmail postage for each issue, which works out Rs. 1500 per year. If this is mutiplied for 20 years, it comes to Rs. 30,000.At the current exchange rate it is US$ 600. In the intervening period, the rates can go up. Actually, with revised rate of US$400 itself , Ashramam will be considerably subsidising the postage costs .

 

I hope that the explanation given as above explains the matter fully .We now request all the existing life rs to remit US$ 400 , which will be utilised to cover the airmail postage cost at the earliest.

Those, who would like to now fresh from overseas countries, they may have to remit US 400 for life subscription of the magazine.plus US$400 for airmail postage.
