Dear BhAgavathAs,

We were fortunate to be present at The Upanyasam on Srinivasa Kalyanam by U Ve Sri Velukkudy Krishnan on Jan 1st , 2009 at N K T school, Triplicane.

Normally Upanyasam on a subject will confine to the topic. It was a totally different, distinct, & distinguished TREAT by Sri Krishnan Swamy. Though Our Lord is Present Everywhere and one can conduct The Thiru Kalyanam any where, as is normally the case, Sri Krishnan took us by mind to Tirumalai itself for attending The Divine Marriage.

The route he chose was elegant and enchanting. The Seven Steps by which he made us climb The Seven Hills uttering "GOVINDA NAMA" to reach the Abode of Our Lord Venkatesa for attending The Tiru Kalyanam is indeed excellent and very useful to clear the obstacles one faces in reaching the Goal of The Lotus Feet of Our Lord.

It gave us an insight of the way one shd tame and train the mind to be fit before attending The Marriage of The Divyadhamapthy. It is very very easy for hearing but requires lots and lots of pleasant but tough efforts to follow.

Even an attempt to practice these steps will lead us to Great Heights of spiritual journey. In case we are unable to follow the steps, the very attempt to do so will elevate us immensely.

For example , The First Step of Realising / Reaching The Abode viz realising That God wants good for all, and in turn we shd always think, talk and do things for LOGA KSHEMA - Universal Prosperity & Welbeing- is a way to make us feel instantly happier than our present state. We may not be able to fully practice. But the mere thought we shd practice is sufficient to elevate us from our present level of "Living".

Equally important are the "tips" he gave for understanding the nuances of Marriage MantrAs and the impact of Dharma SAstrAs on our life, will be an abundantly useful guide to all of us.

This Upanyasam of Srinivasa Kalyanam will undoubtedly get The Blessings of Lord Sri Parthasarathy for the entire world in the new year and the years to come.

On behalf of all those who attended and got benefitted by the Upanyasam, I express our Gratitude to Velukkudy Sri Krishnan Swamy. It is Lord Sri Krishna who makes some Blessed souls to perform such Upanyasams from time to time, like his father Velukkudy Sri Varadachariar Swamy, his mentor Karapngadu Sri Venkatachariar Swamy & so on to give boost to Our Sath Sampradayam.
