The Swami had his Grantha Kaalakshepams also under Sri Nayinarachariar {Kumara Varadachar Swami}, the son of Sri Nigamantha Maha Desikan who was one of the greatest Scholars in SriVaishnavism his own right. In fact, Sri BrahmA tantrA Swatantra Jeer was the sage who composed the Thanian in Sri DEsika Mangalam – Srimal Lakshmana YOgeendra Siddhantha Vijathvajam, Viswamithra kulOthbootham Varadarya maham bajE: in praise of His Grantha Acharya, Sri Kumara Varadachar!! In fact, you will find a most enchanting life like painting of all these great Acharyas in the Matam premises in Mysore - Sri Nigamantha Maha desikan at the centre flanked by His two disciples; Sri Kumara Varadachar on one side & Sri BrahmA tantrA Swatantra Jeer on the other side. Some of the greatest scholars in SriVaishnavaite Sampradayam have adorned the Peetam of Sri BrahmA tantrA Swatantra Parakala Swami Mutt over the past 670 years. HH Sri Abhinava Vagheesa Yateendra Maha Desikan currently adorns the Peetam as the 36th Jeer Swami in an unbroken line of 670 years. The most important feature that will interest all the Sevarthis is the fact that Perumal Aradhanam is offered daily for over 670 years to the ArchA Moorthi of Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar. This ArchA Moorthi originated from The Supreme Lord of the Universe, Sriman Narayana. He gave the ArchA Moorthi to Lord Brahma with instructions to perform Aradhanams daily {as per SriVaikuntam's methodology} so that Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar would Bless Lord Brahma with complete knowledge of the Chatur VedAs & that would enable Him to proceed with His ordained Karma of Creation of all Jeevaraasis. Many great Savants & Sages like ParAsarar, Dramidar, Dunkar and Adi Sankara have composed their treatises {Baashyams} on the Vyakyanam of Bhagawan VyAsa's 545 Brahma SutrAs. All these are known with a prefix of the author's name – say Sankara Baashyam etc., Bhagavath Ramanuja composed and compiled his own Baashyam in His own inimitable style and offered it at the Lotus Feet of Goddess Saraswathi. The Goddess of Learning was so pleased with Bhagavath Ramanuja's Baashyam that she named it as "Sri Baashyam" and also handed over the ArchA Moorthi of Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar to Bhagavath RAmanuja in appreciation of the above said Darsana Sthapakar's stupendous magnum opus "Sree Baashyam". By Her command, the Sage was also given the Title "Sree Bhashyakarar". He was ordered by the Goddess to continue to perform the Daily Aradhanams for the ArchA Moorthi of Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar in Bhoolokam without any break. This ArchA Moorthi was passed on to Acharya SArvabhouma, Sri Nigamantha Maha Desikan who passed it to one of His prime disciples, the first Sri BrahmA tantrA Swatantra Jeer Swami. The daily Aradhanam has now been continued without break all these centuries. The Jeer Swamis of the Mutt are very well known for their Santham, Gnanam, Anushtanam, Vairakyam & Asritha VAtsalyam {Compassion towards their Disciples & Followers}. In recent times, the 34th jeer Swami had composed the most masterly treatises on Sri Andal/s Thiruppavai, Sri PeriAzhwar's Thiruppallandu etc., that had enthralled generations of SriVaishnavaites – scholars & lay persons alike!! The current Peetathipathi, HH Sri Abhinava Vagheesa Yateendra Maha Desikan, is calmness personified; the sheer beauty of HH's Hayagreevar Aradhanam will qualify as a BrahmAnubhavam for all Sevarthis. There are no words to describe His heavenly poise & protocol while HH performs Sri Hayagreeva Aradhanam. The Sevarthi does not have to imagine as to how Lord Brahma would performed Aradhanams; you can see this yourself in kali Yuga for yourself. The Matam runs various Trusts in many parts of India rendering yeoman service to the community & the public at large. Since the past 5 years, it has been running – amidst great difficulties – a Junior Arts & Science College in Mysore due to the HH the Jeer's passion to help the poorer & downtrodden sections of the society to gain quality education. The Jeer's monumental efforts are to be supported by all right thinking Sevarthis. There is NO branch of the Matam in Srirangam; there have been some erroneous news reports of some persons claiming to run a "Parakala Matam" in that temple Town. This is nothing but a bogus group as there is only ONE Parakala Matam, that is the oldest SriVaishnavaite Matam or Institution in Lord's creation & that Matam is in Mysore!! It was very useful to me in that i gathered new facts about Parakala Mutt history. I am closely reading RR mama's writeups in Paduka in English. Especially the write ups on barnyasam and 96 tarpanas details to be performed byall who have lost their parents. It is excellent service that RR mama is doing in that all these are in english which attract the younger audience who know little of tamil like me. it is easy to follow the writeups. It is up to the sevarthis to follow what is proclaimed in srutis and smritis. It is an excellent oppurtunity to the youngsters to know our sampradaya. I once again thank RR mama for all this service.
