Dear members, By this time all of you must be aware of the momentous function which has started at Sri Oppiliappan Temple at Tirunageswaram, near Kumbakonam. The Maha Samprokashanm funtions have started on 4th February, 2009, with the commencement of Yagasaalai functions.Maha Samprokshnam iteself is to be performed on Sunday, 8th February, 2009.between 06 45 AM and 08 15 AM. At the invitation of the Samprokshanam Committee, H.H. Srimath Andavan has consented to sponsor all the Yaaga Saalai events and Ashramam will bear all the expenses related to that event, by mobilising Ashramam funds, as well as funds generated by Ashramam through the support of devotees and other well wishers.The rquired funds to the extent of Rs 30 lakhs have been mobilised. We are gald to bring to all the members some of the photographs taken on 4th February, 2009. The pictures show the temple newly erected gold covered Dwajasthambam, inaddition to all the things in and around the temple, including the beautiful Raja Gopuram. In other pictures show the Yaaga Saalai getting ready, next at Andavan Ashramam Srimath Anadavan receives visitors, incuding Sri U.Ve.Pazhaveri Sadagopacharaiar Swamy, Srikaryam of Ahobila Mutt,in another picture H.H. with Srikaryams of Andavan Ashramam on one side and Ahobila Mutt Srikaryam on the other side. The picture follows, Vaikanasa Aagama vidwans requesting H.H. to grace the Yaaga Saalai and be the Yajamaanar for the function. Next, Samprokashanam Committee Chairman, Sri Raya R Govindarajan,invites H.H. with full temple honours. H.H. taken in a procession, two elephants leading the procession.H.H.pays mangalaasaasanam to Uthsavar Oppiliappan with Ubaya Naachimaars at the Glass house, inside the temple. In the next photographs, H.H. is given a warm reception at Yaaga Saalai. Sankalpam was administered on behalf of H.H. and Srimath andavan Ashramam, our Srikaryam Swamy performs the sankalpam.H.H. is seated in the specially prepared Simhaasanam at the entrance of Yaaga Saalai H.H. blessed all those assembled at that time in the Yaaga Saalai . If any of who have not responded to the earlier appeal issued by Ashramam and Sri paduka Charities to support the Yaagasaalai expenses of Ashramam, even now it is not too late to join and obtain the blessings of Oppiliappan and reverred Acharyas of Andavan Ashramam.
