More information on Maha Samprokshanam of Sri Oppiliappan Temple.I understand that tomorrow morning from 07 30 AM DD Podhigai channel will be telecasting live the Maha Samprokshanam celebrations direct from the temple.Please stay tuned to your television, in case that you are unable to be present in person.

I just got hold of some additional information in connection with the Maha Samprokshanam.

Total expenses being incurred for the renovation and Samprokshanam is around Rs.12 crores. The Lord, will be adorned with Swarna Kavacham made 40 kilos of gold., whereas the Thaayaar also will be covered similarly with a kavacham made of 12 kilos, The Maarkandeyar will be covered with a kavacham of 11 kilos.Silver covering of doors of Garba Graham is done. The Perumal Vimaanam is going to glitter with gold covering,similar to Tirumala and Srirangam

The organisers are expecting around 4 lakhs of devotees for the grand occasion. Elaborate arrangements are being done for the orderly conduct of the celebrations.

Maha Samprokshanam will be performed in the immediate presence of H.H. Srimath Andavan Swamigal , Sri Rangaramanuja MahaDesikan,who accepted to bear all the expenses related to the Yaaga Saalai totalling to Rs 30 Lakhs.
