Guest guest
Dear members, Every year Srirangam Srimath Anadavan Ashramam is arranging Samashti ( Dharma ) Upanayanam for poor brahmin boys, whose parents could not afford to spend for such function on their own. It is normally held to coincide with Srimath Periandavan's Tirunakshatram, which falls on Maasi month, Pushya Nakshatram. This year this is being held on this coming Sunday, 8th March, 2009 at our Chennai Ashramam premises.Every we are able to accomodate upto 35 young boys for this function.Ashramam and Sri paduka Charities arranges every thing and the boys parents can bring their boys along with a certain number of close relatives. Only expence will be printing of their own pathrikas and their own transport..Brihaspathees are also arranged by Ashramam. After the function all those participating can have good lunch. Ashramam and Sri paduka Charities funds are utilised for this. It will be grand sight to see so many boys getting the sacred thread in front so many homa kundams, along with their poor parents and their relatives, enjoying every moment. This is on a Sunday between 10-15 and 11 AM. You can be there earlier also, as Srimath Periandavan Tirunakshatra Saathumurai will be held and all can have theertha prasadam and get the blessings of H.H. But Prakirtham Andavan will be celebrating this at Kalyanapuram that morning as per Ashramam calender. Most probably the function will be held at the recently cconstructed Tirukkudanthai Andavan Centenary memorial building. Only after this function, H.H is returning to Chennai Ashramam that evening.
