Dear Sevarthis,

Adiyen is in total disagreement here.

Is the dress code the onlyÂ discipline to be observed?

Are we sincere in our approach to the Acharyan & His Projects?

Are we maintaining the discipline when we assemble at the Asramam during the SevaÂ KaalamÂ during the normal days,

Are we maintaining the discipline when we assemble at the Asramam during the SevaÂ KaalamÂ during the Thirunakshatrams?

Are the Sevarthis coming late accepting the rearguard positon in the Ghoshti?

Are NOT most of these Sevarthis pushing & pulling their way into the front position causing enormous inconvenience to other Sevarthis who had come in earlier and are waiting patiently?

How many Sevarthis maintain absolute silence when the Perumal & Paduka Aradhanams are on?

Is not a veritable cacophony taking place exactly during the Perumal & Paduka Aradhanams virtually shutting out the Veda Mantrams?

Yes, Dress Code is important BUT {this is very big BUT} there are many more essential & critical disciplines to be enacted before we wax eloquent on the " dress code " ,

Dear Swamin,

Yes Dress code in the ashramam should be strictly adhered and

there is nothing wrong if the people who are not in dress code are

made to stand aside in the ashramam entrace itself.

This is being religiously practiced in Guruvayoor temple.

I would rather request ashramam authorities to be more strict

in restriction from entering to parents of those young boys and

girls not in dress code. If parents do not care for it why they

should be given admission.

I fully go with the voice raised by member.

Dear Swamin,

I am in full agreement with RR swami. While it is very important to observe dress code, that alone is not the criterian. Once, long back this issue figured in Sri Ranganatha Pduka itself, as I could remember. While dress code is essential, if interested young entrants are shooed away on this issue of dress code, one would be discouraging the budding devotees to sampradayam, which is already under stress.

My sincere thoughts on this, if we strictly implement dress code it should be for all visiting our ashram (All implies every one other than severathis also) like in Guruvayur temple where strict dress code for prime minister to lay man

While agreeing to the need to observe the code, there are some very practical difficulties. When we visit the Ashram where The AchAryan is camping., it many times happen ( like when is is the Ashram at Chennai ) non chennaites come on official duty and still wud like to visit and and hv the blessings on their way or back after official .

How to get ourselves dressed in the proper manner with Panchkacham & Thirumankappu etc ? Esp when we hv to get back to catch the train or flt, it becomes almost impossible. Either we go to Ashram as best as we cud manage or we can avoid going. If one sincerely wants to visit The Ashram , is it correct to deny oneself of the the opportunity of visiting the Ashram ?

Strictly speaking if the dress code shd be fully adhered all shd go with 12 Thiruman only. Can it be or is it being observed ?
