Guest guest Posted April 12, 2009 Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 Dear Swamin Subsequent to " Pankuni Uthsava Serthi mahotsava " at Muscat, thirukkalyana Mahotsavam to Sri Srinivasa Perumal with Upaya Nachiyar was performed by the asthikas of Muscat , in a grand manner. On 10th, thirumanjanam was commenced at about 8--00 A.M.after preparations of putting "kolams" by Andal ghoshti, punyaha vachanam etc by Sri U.Ve. Ananthan Swamy Sri U.Ve. Govindrajan Swamy ( former Muscat vasi and now at Chengalpattu), Sri U.Ve. Ananthachariar Swamy performed this thirumanjanam with the active support of Sri U.Ve. Venkatesan Swamy, Sri U.Ve.. Rajan Swamy, another mahaubhavan of Sri U.Ve. Venkatesan Sri Murali and other Srivaishnavas who have collected and gave Khseeram ( large quantity) curd, honey ( numerous quantity), tender-co-conuts,chandanam ( large quantity) and also obtained flowers, flower garlands from various places including Chennai. Thaithreeya upanishad followed by Maha Narayana upanishad, pancha sooktham, were ably recited by Sri Vaishnavites including Sri U.Ve.Raman and others. You will be astonished to hear these sookthas from the Srivaishnavites of Muscat, as it was perfect to the core. Not only this, but also thirumanjanam It was indeed a mahonnatha seva, asif it was performed to Sri Devathirajan at Kanchi. Those who witnessed the thirumanjanam at Kanchipuram said that the same system was adopted here Thirumanjanam came to an end at about 1 P.M. ( all Muscat time) Thirukkalyana Mahotsavam commenced at about 5o'clock in the evening.The dias was decorated with plantain, flowers etc etc depicting Tirumala in the background and also Uthsava moorthi. There was " Paththi ulaththuthal' ' Of Sri Srinivasa Perumal ,subsequently joined by Sridevi Nachiyar and Bhoodevi Nachiyar in seperate " pallakku" Then " exchange of holy garlands" several times.Adiyen recited " Thaithreeyam" in full behind the Swamy, as it is custom to recite " Vedham" whenever " Perumal" departs from the " Moolasthanam" for uthsavam etc etc Then " UNJAL' ' and then " Thirumangalya dharanam" All along the kalyanam, morethan thousand asthikas assembled, participated, and chanted " Harinama Sangeerthan". Especially.. ISCON bhakthas performed bhajans with their scintilating dances Sri U.Ve. Govindarajan Swamy, Sri U.Ve. Ananthachariar Swamy, Sri Raghavan, Sri Narayanan , Sri Mani Raghavan from Madipakkam (employed here) who is conducting nithya pooja to Sri Srinivasa Perumal and other srivaishnavas ( adiyen is not able to give names) performed this mahonnatha kaimkaryam with utmost dedication, true bakthi. Equally, the Mathusrimonies. What a noble kaimkaryam by the ladies also ! that too, in a country far off from Barathadesam The Gujarathis settled here, actively participated and also people from other States from India who are working here The Kalyana mahotsavam came to an end at about mid-night Adiyen was very happy to participate in all the uthsavams here and this is due to the anugraha of Acharyan Swami Desikan, krupakataksha of Sri Hemabjavalli Thayar and Sri Devanathan particularly Sri Hayagreevan Adiyen offers my prayer to Acharyan and Sri Hayagreevan requesting to extend their anugraha on all these mahanubhavas with perfect health, abundent wealth , and the mind and will to continue these kainkaryams for ever Sarvam Sree Hayagreeva preeyathaamDasanUruppattur SoundararajanSrikainkarya Get an email ID as yourname or yourname.
