Srimath Andavan, with the specific objective of building a Rajagopuram, a Mahamandapam and related works at Velamur Sri Sundaravaradarajar & Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple. H.H. has traced the history of this Velamur Temple situated in Thondai Mandalam, through a video recording. In the meanwhile, we are happy to inform all of you that the foundation work for the project will commence on 21stday Vaikasi month, thatis 4th June, 2009, falling on thursday at the temple premises. Those who would like to make a visit on thatday, may inform the undersigned by e mail at r_sv Directions to Velamur: From Chennai on the GST Road, reach Melmaruvatthur, take a right turn at that junction through a road underpass service road in the direction for Vandavasi, proceed from that junction to about 10 Kms, you will reach a village Ramapuram. Just prior to entering Ramapuram turn right on a blacktopped road towards, Velamur, which is about 2 Kms. from there.
