Guest guest
Dear Sevarthis, Adiyen deeply regrets to announce the sad demise of Sri Rajagopalan - Rajah as he was affectionately called by all - early this morning. He was ailing from cancer for some months & the end was expected. He served HH Srimad Andavan cheerfully most of his adult life & travelled with the Acharya all over the Bharatha Desam till the cancer was detected. HH sent him back to Srirangam and continued him in the rolls of the Asramam HQrs. He was always carried out any Kainkaryam allotted to him cheerfully & without any murmur. His skills in loading & unloading the multivarious items, goods, mandapams etc., while HH was on Yatra were phenomenal. He had the knack of placing each item { & retrieving them} carefully at every stop. It was said {half in jest} that - but for Rajah - the Asramam would need at least one more large Bus to carry all the articles/ luggages etc., His Kainkaryam did not stop with that. At every station, we find him studiously replying all letters & sending HH's Pala Manthrakshathai to all Sevarthis & Abhimanis. His loss will be very hard to digest. He leaves his grieving family & colleagues in the Asramam behind. Guest guest
Dear Sevarthis, Several messages of condolences have been received. It is quite heartening to see that the late Rajah's kainkaryams are well recognised. But we have to see the future of Rajah's family and do something. With the Niyamanam of HH Srimad Andavan, a Private Charitable Trust is planned to support the family for some years till the children get settled in life. The lady knows no livelihood excepting to do some tailoring work - that is not going to support the family. The Trust will be founded by Sri R Vasudevan, Hon Secretary Sri Paduka Charities; Sri S Parthasarathy Trustee, Sri Paduka Charities - again another Sri S Parthasarathy {Retd Officer from United Bank of India}, Sri VK Sarangarajan - HH's Kainkarya Siromani par excellence will be the Trustees. The idea is to raise approx. Rs. 5.00 to 6.00 lakhs, place these in safe long term fixed deposits, so that the interest income {only} will be placed at their disposal. The capital will NOT be placed at their disposal. Adiyen appeals to all sevarthis to contribute liberally for this noble cause. Guest guest
Srimathe Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikaya Namaha: Dear RR mama: HH Srimad Andavan's affection for the Shishyas is unfathomable. adiyen is very happy to hear about this initiative. In addition to setting up the trust, 1. Request that the trust also be involved & guide Rajha's children to study well and go for higher education from top schools. Education is the only real empowerment. 2. It will be nice if US residents can contribute thruough Ramanuja Mission. adiyen pledges to make an initial contribution of $101/= towards this fund and will seek others help as well. dasan uutiramerur aravamudhan --- On Tue, 5/19/09, RR <shrirr wrote:RR <shrirrRe: Late Sri Rajagopalanandavan , "srinivasan.rangaswamy" <r_svCc: "srirangam srimad" <ssaayatra, "Srirangam Srimad Andavan asramam" <srimadandavanashramTuesday, May 19, 2009, 10:39 PM Dear Sevarthis, Several messages of condolences have been received.
