We are happy to inform you that Bhoomi Puja for the construction of 3 tier Rajagopuram for Sri Sundara Varadaraja/Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple at Velamur is now scheduled to be held on the morning of 4th July, 2009, with the blessings of H.H. Srimath Andavan Swamigal. I am attaching with this some of the photographs of the temple taken this Sunday, 31st May ,2009. These will be remebered in future,after the construction of Rajagopuram.

As an adjunct to this at a site in front of the temple,H.H. has ordained to build a Saama Veda Patasalai, in memory of Upanishad Bhashyakarar Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan.

Bhoomi Puja for this new construction will also be done on the same day.

 

These two are dream projects of H.H. and very soon Velamur will reverberate with Saama Vedam and both Perumals are there to enjoy those Saama Gaanams along with devotees visiting the temple.

 

We have issued appeals through this medium for all of you to contribute your might and be a part of this noble cause.
