Guest guest
Dear Swamin/ Mathusri Snaanam is a "nithya karma". Those who are taking "bath" from pipe water/well water have to go to river( " punya theertham" )/tank ( kulam) periodically to take bath; then only purification can come not only to sareeram ( body) but also to "athmaa" Those who are taking snaanam in the rivers/ tanks (kulam) have to go to ocean (samudram) on particular days described in saastraas for "samudra Snaanam" Question arises to those who are going to foreign countries, especially who have to perform "pithur duty" ( Sraththam etc) and who wish to get " samasrayanam " etc from Acharyan Prakrutham Srimath Paravakkottai Andavan used to tell to go to Thiruppullani ( Sethukkarai) and do "prayachiththa samudra snaanam" before requesting the Acharyan for "samasrayanam" etc The above are the "poorva peedika" , because adiyen performed "Prayachiththa Samudra snaanam " at " Thirukkadanmallai" called " Ardha Sethu " in the Sastras/ scriptures. Many many thanks to Sri Senthilkumar who accompanied adiyen to "Samudra Karai", identified the "theerththa kattam" there ( Sri Sthalasayana Perumal's theerththavari usually done at a particular place), assisted adiyen to take "prayachiththa snaanam" and then go to temple ,have darshan and prasad , recently While the snaanam at " Thiruppullani " is admissible on all days , this Snaanam should be performed on particular days at " Thirukkadanmallai". While taking bath in Samudram, there is "prayachchitra manthra" to those who are "prapannas" who happened to go to foreign and return subsequently Then only "nithya and Naimiththika Karmas " performed by them will give the desired resultSarvam Sree Hayagreeva preeyathaamDasanUruppattur SoundararajanSrikainkarya Get an email ID as yourname or yourname. Guest guest
adiyen dasasya vignaapanam. At the outset adiyen pray that I must not be mistaken. As this " Ardha Sethu " is mentioed quite often in groups, adiyen want to know the veracity of it. Generally we take Ramayanam and Mahabharatham as pramanams. While Sethu at Thiruppullani (as Sri Soundararajan swami himself says) is the generally accepted for sarva prayaschiththam and almost all acharyals direct their sishyas to here only. And as such what is the evidence to show that Thirukkadalmallai is Arththasethu? Again I want to stress that my question is only of academic interest and not to denigrate any kshethram Adiyen,Dasan,Thiruppathi RaguveeradayalC/O SRIRANGAM SRIMAD ANDAVAN ASHRAMAM,THIRUPPULLANI 62353204567-254242//919443301091http://thiruppul.blogspot.com http://rajamragu.spaces.live.com On Mon, Jun 8, 2009 at 11:22, soundararajan desikan <srikainkarya wrote: Dear Swamin/ Mathusri                                   Snaanam is a " nithya karma " .                          Those who are taking " bath " from pipe water/well water have to go to river( " punya theertham "  )/tank ( kulam) periodically to take bath; then only purification can come not only to sareeram ( body) but also to " athmaa "                                               Those who are taking snaanam in the rivers/ tanks (kulam) have to go to ocean (samudram) on particular days described in saastraas for " samudra Snaanam "                          Question arises to those who are going to foreign countries, especially who have to perform " pithur duty "  ( Sraththam etc) and who wish to get " samasrayanam " etc from Acharyan                         Prakrutham Srimath Paravakkottai Andavan used to tell to go to Thiruppullani ( Sethukkarai) and do " prayachiththa samudra snaanam "  before requesting the Acharyan for " samasrayanam " etc                     The above are the " poorva peedika " , because adiyen performed " Prayachiththa Samudra snaanam " at " Thirukkadanmallai " called " Ardha Sethu " in the Sastras/ scriptures.
