I wish to share some news about Your Sathyagalam Temple Rajagopuram Progress,

Garudousthavam , Ther Celebration of Sathyagalam, and also 20th Book written by

Sri K R Krishnaswami Mama (KRK Mama).

 

Last week I received a call from Sri KRK Mama, and he told I should accompany

him to Sathyagalam on 3rd June . He told there will be a surprise for me at

Sathyagalam. So 3rd Morning i reached KRK mama's house by my bike , enroute we

were joined by Sri. Sheshadri mama and his wife (Sheshadri mama is silent worker

and he was instrumental in collecting lot of money from Mumbai based Bhakathas)

and Padmasini Mami. We stated at 6 Am and reached Sathyagalam at 10 Am (

In-between we had 30 mins break).

 

The surprise element was they were celebrating the Garudousthavam and Ther for

our Kote Varadharaja Swami the Presiding deity of Sathyagalam temple

 

Before entering the temple I looked up , i could see a Majestic Rajagopuram of

Temple, ( I went back in flashback mode , when I visited Sathyagalam for the

first time a grand Motai Gopuram welcomed me) now the 5 tier Rajagopuram

welcomed me, I am happy to inform you that the 5 tier Gopuram fully plastered is

ready, next it is awaiting for Idols ( Bhomai) to be placed in the Rajagopuram.

The Grand finale is Samprokshanam. Incidentally I wish to Inform you all that I

have committed to Donate 5 Kalsham to be placed on Rajagopuram in memory of my

late Ellu Tha-Tha H H Katandethi Andavan.

 

There was fairly good gathering of 100 - 150 people ( Mostly Locals) . We were

served with delicious Pongal Arsi Upma with Kothsu. Then Madhu Bhattar with his

co-brother who is the Bhattar at Ramanagara Rama temple had done the Alankara (

The Garudan and Ther was borrowed from Madhyarangam temple , I am sure in coming

days with the help of Bhagavathas Your Sathyagalam can have its own Garudan and

Ther and other Vahanam's ). The Garudan was Small but he is ever ready to serve

his Lord. Kote Varadharaja Perumal with his Ubhaya Nachiyars were nicely

decorated. Then Perumal was taken to Thayar Sannidhi , then went one round and

then he was placed in Ther admist of chanting of Vedas and The Locals were

reciting the name of Govinda , Govinda . Then Perumal was taken for veedhi Ulla.

Then Ther came back to Nellai and then Perumal was carried inside and placed in

dais in Praharam. Then Sathumurai took place and then Thadiaradhanai took place

( There was regular Annaprasadam and also

Ekadeshi PrasAda) .

 

I wish to inform you one more thing , This event of Sathyagalam is mentioned in

Kannada Panchagam brought out by Sri Sampath Kumar Jois, It is recorded as

Garudousthavam and after coming back to house i checked it in my Bangalore Press

e-Calendar , here it is mentioned as CAR FESTIVAL at Sathyagalam. ( Since it is

mentioned in Panchagam i assume this event must have been held regularly some 25

- 50 years back) , Since Last year they started this event and this is second

year after these festival was started and in coming years Ther festival be

celebrated in a Grand scale and I am sure like all Bhagavathas and Abhimanis of

Swami Desikan will support and attend as you all do it for Thirunakshartram

celebration of Swami Desikan Every year.
