Update on Velamur Temple Rajagopuram work

Today is Upanishad Bhashyakarar, Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan, of Velamur,'s Tirunakshatram,Aani ,Mrigaseersham .This day was celebrated at Velamur with Perumal and Acharyan's Archa Murthi tirumanjanam,followed by Saathumurai.

With the blessings of Prakirtham Srimath Andavan, who is adoring the same Tirunaamam as of Upanishad Bhashyakarar, by the next year's Tirunakshatram this 3 tier Rajagopuram will come up and all of us can participate in a new ambience at the same temple. What we seek is your support for the noble cause in memory the great Acharyan.

 

Bhoomi Puja was performed on 4th July,2009 for Rajagopuram and Saama Veda Patasalai construction at Velamur.

 

Sthapathi has been identified and approved by H.H. Contract is to be finalised soon.

 

A formal letter to H R & C E is made by H.H. for obtaining a " No objection certificate " for the construction.

 

Work will be funded by Ashramam as well as Sri Paduka Charities by mobilising the required funds through voluntary contributions from devotees and well wishers.

 

In this work H.H. is hoping that former natives of Velamur village will come in a big way to support the work in bringing glory to their own Temple.

 

Forthcoming event at the temple is Avathaara Uthsavam, which is to be celebrated on Aani Hastham,30th June, 2009. It is a great day and all are welcome to attend, particularly the celebrations in the evening. A particular ubayadaarar family is doing this for the past 20 years, as that family has the real life experience of the Perumal, as a great Varaprasaadi.
