Enthusiastic welcome & staunch Opposition balanced by some practical views were posted. A few humble suggestions & Random Thoughts may not be out of place here: " I am right & you are wrong " approach is to be strictly avoided! None of us possesses absolute wisdom; all transient knowledge is due to the Grace of Sriman Narayana & His Divine Concert, Who will decide the Priorities for the Asramam? 3 Entities, i) Sriman Narayana & Mahalakshmi Thayar, ii) Poorvacharyas' Padukas & iii) HH Srimad Andavan, We may recommend that a/any project will be the Priority for the Asramam & propose the same to HH, In private, we may even discuss & discuss forcefully with HH and get His approval, But no one is competent to condemn projects - that do not satisfy our scrutiny or wisdom - as unnecessary/ unwanted/ impractical etc., Veda Patasalas/ Therazhundur Projects etc., The Divya Dhampati Blessed adiyen - through Poorvacharyas' Padukas & HH Srimad Andavan - with the Bhagyam & Responsibilty of developing the Veda Patasalas between 1999-2008 directly - even today in an advisory role, Even the most fervent well wishers would readily agree that adiyen did NOT & does NOT have any knowledge about Vedas, Veda Patasalas, Sanskrit or the Saastras, We had 45 Vidyarthis, 10 teachers in 1 Patasala with an expenditure of appr. Rs. 10.00 lakhs during 1999/2000, With the Blessings & constant guidance of these 3 Supreme Entities, the Patasalas have grown to appr 275-280 Vidyarthis in 10 Patasalas - annual expenses Rs. 84.00 lakhs, While taking charge, adiyen never even dreamt that we would spend this quantum of money every year or that we would have 280 Vidyarthis, During the recent Thirunakshatrams, we have seen nearly 70 Vidyarthis participating, Funds, funds, funds - this seems to be the strong objection of one of adiyen's brathas in these postings! He is entitled to conceive and proceed with a/any project with HH's permission, But the lack of generation of funds for that project does NOT mean that all /any other project/s are not worthy of consideration Let all of us be assured that Funds are arranged/ collected at the Will & Grace of these 3 Entities and adiyen will NOT claim any credit here for anything that happened from 1999 onwards! If the particular project has NOT generated Funds, then the conclusion is that these 3 Entities have NOT applied their collective minds, It {definitely} does NOT mean that the Asramam's TV Channel is a worthless project - does any one's limited exposure in the Media entitle him/her to conclude that this is an unnecessary/ unworthy/ unwanted project? Times are changing, systems of reaching the target audiences are changing, the manner of attracting their attention is also changing, We cannot say - for ever - that we will only try the conventional methods or systems known to us as time tested, In fact the first major exposures for the Asramam came due to the 1987 TV short film on the Sathbhishekam, Prakrutham HH's 20 minute in Sanskrit in 1991 on Ratna Deepika organised by Sri Sampath - then Dy Director of Doordarshan & HH's 5 minute daily Thiruppavai Upanyasams during the early 1990's from AIR Tiruchirappalli, These attracted tens of thousands of Abhimanis & new Sishyas, Financially or otherwise - what were considered impossible 10/15/20 years ago are realities today for the Asramam, let us therefore consider all issues dispassionately, agree or disagree courteously BUT no condemnation please, A request to the Moderator to either delete or modify such strongly worded postings is appropriate here.
