Dear Swamin,

 

Adiyen, after seeing various comments/opinions/ suggestions from the very very elite Srivaishnavas about the initiation of one T.V. Channel solely for the purpose of probagation of Srivaishnava sampradayam, wishes to say the following

 

1. There are monthly religious magazines such as

Sri Nrusimha Priya( seperately for tamil, english and other languages)

Sri Ranganatha Paduka( some pages setapart for english)

Sri Desika Seva( article comes even in english)

Sri Kanchi Perarulalan

( Sri U.Ve. T.C.Srinivasan commenced two magazines one in tamil and another in english)

 

While plainly speaking how many sriVaishnavas of Sri Desika sampradayam to the above magazines ?

 

Adiyen happened to see in some of the houses that the magazines kept afresh even without taking it from the cover

 

As the Chairman of the magazine " Sri Kanchi Perarulalan" inwhich prakrutham Srimath Paravakkottai Andavan writes " Sri Rama piranai karpoam" ( story of sri Rama in simple tamil quoting from Kamba Nattazhvar, Sri Thulasi Dass etc from a different angle--this is being given in english also by Sri U.Ve. Madhavak kannan Swamy) and " Arul Amizhthu"

besides excellent articles by the Editor Sri U.Ve. Dr. N.S. Ramanuja thathachariar,by Sri U.Ve. Navalpakkam Dr V.Kannan Swamy, adiyen feels that Sri Desika sampradaya mahanubhavas are not patronizing this magazine eventhough this is priced at Rs 5/-per month( this is the only sri Desika sampradaya monthly magazine in a very cheap cost)

 

2. There are numerous books/ C.Ds/ D.V.Ds/ giving everything about the sampradaya. But howmany asthikas made up their minds to purchase and read

 

3. There are various e-mail groups (even websites) to go into them and get alldetails about our sampradaya( those who are having internet connections with the computor). But howmany mahanubhavas utilised these?

 

Adiyen feels that Srivaishnavites ,at the outset, can commence to get the magazines, can attempt to hear "upanyasams in C.D..s/V.C.Ds/ D.V.Ds/ and Sri Desika Stotras, and also can attempt to purchase various books in simple style and to read them In this way, we can extensively probagate the sampradaya

 

There are numerous Vedic Patasala, numerous noble kaimkaryams etc etc. These can be patronized

 

Opening of T.V. channel is not a correct way of probagation,i even if crorepathis come forward to this
