Dear RR Mama: Adiyen has been seeing pictures of Chaturmasya Sankalpam from Bangalore and noted they are being celebrated in a grand manner.  We are in the process of developing our plans for HH Mysore Andavan's Thirunakshatram in USA.  Please see note below from Sri. Adiyen is back again to request fellow bhagavathas to help participate and celebrate Srimad Mysore Andavan's 100th Thirunakshatram at the comfort of your homes or join Sri Ramanuja Mission's grand celebrations planned at Atlanta during the labor day weekend celebrations.

 

Srimad Andavans's TN falls on 22nd August - Please plan on celebrating the glorious Acharyan's TN around that day or the weekend (just like our prakrutham Andavan's celebrations.

 

The Atlanta annual celebrations for Sri Ramanuja Mission culminating this year with the centenary celebrations of Srimad Andavan is planned for 4, 5, 6,7th at Atlanta and Sri Padhmanabhan is leading the organization of the celerations there. 

 

Please do get in touch with us to participate in person. We would love to have all sishyas come down in person and celebrate the event  -  " PADMANABHAN RAMAN " <padmanabhan_raman

A quick brief about Srimad Mysore Andavan and why it is important that we remember and celebrate our bhagyam to have him in our acharya parampara - 

Srimad Mysore Andavan's stature has no parallel in the munitraya acharya parampara. His literary skills, knowledge and more importantly dedication to the Ashramam stand unmatched. 

 

Thirukudanthai Andavan many times felt he had deprived Sri Gopalacharyar of Mokshashram and revered his knowledge and service to the acharya parampara (as Srimad Mysore Andavan was among those instructed by Thenpirai Andavan as one of the successors).

 

Srimad Andavan was a model SriKaryam for the ashramam for many many years. Srimad Thirukudanthai Andavan and Sri Gopalachariar (Srimad Mysore Andavan's poorvashrama thirunamam) used to share a lot of light moments with Srimad Thirukudanthai Andavan joking about his lack of knowledge compared to Srimad Mysore Andavan (Note : Part humility and Part Real Reverance/respect here). 

 

Sri Gopalachariar was right there supporting Srimad TK Andavan through the complexities of philosophical intracacies or massaging and relieving Srimad Andavan's pain from the hardships of being an Acharyan - walking many miles or sleeping on hard floors.

Finally as ordained by Srimad Tirukudandai Andavan and his own acharyan, he took up the ochre robes at a pretty mature age and (adiyen believes) fit right in because he had spent most of his life quite with such vairagyam he saw no difference. 

His authorship of Sri Ramanuja Nootrandhadhi and the entire Desika prabhandam in Sanskrit is some of his crowning works.

Pl. read this editions' 'RanganathaPaduga' for Srimath Mysore Andavan's reverences in English and last editions' Tamil version. And can come to the conclusion that why HIS 100th centinary should be celebrated in a grand manner.
