Dear members,

Many thanks to Sri Soundararajan Swamy, for putting in a neat and short way an introduction about Sri Seva Swamy to those who are not aware of the full deatails. I have moved personally with the Swamy and he was a man par excellence,in the service Swamy Desikan.In every achievemnt in his life, he will be very much un assuming, which is a very rare in these days.The major project which he undertook was publishing Swamy Desikan's Sree Sookthees in as many Indian languages as possible, with the commentaries in those languages. It is not only publishing, but distributing to all devotees of Swamy Desikan free of cost. He had a great principle in that he should not

be making money by SELLING Swamy Desikan's works. He has made upanyasams at several places, including at our residence in Anna Nagar, without expecting anything like Sambhavanai, but only as a service to Swamy Desikan. He has been a Kaalakshepa Adhikaari and has been a guide to many students of Sri Vaishnavism for the research work.

We are really fortunate that their sons are continuing the service left by thier beloved father , so that Swamy Seva's legacy continues for ever. I would like to inform the members, whatever support they give for the projects mentioned in Sri Soudararjan's mail, will be very helpful and will be very much encouraging for successful conduct of the proposed celebrations

everyday( 58 works of Swami Desikan). Took active part in the vijaya

yathra of Shri GANDA ( sacred bell). He was instrumental to establish

Shri Desika Vidya Bhavanam at Mylapore along with Mahapurushal of that

time

Founder of Shri Desika Darshana Sabha at Villivakkam. Established

Mani Mandapam , duly enshrining Shri Lakshmi Hayagreevan Shri Andal,

Shri Ramanujar, Shri Nammazhvar, Swami Desikan & then i Sri Anandavalli Thaayaar Pravachanams

on Srimath Ramayanam, Shri Venkatachala Mahathmyam, Shri Desika

Sookthis Srimath Bagavatham etc etc

Shri Desika Darshana Diary started in the year 1972

Conferred " President's Award " in the year 1992

Founder of Shri Vedantha Desika Research Centre in the year 1994

throughwhich vasthrams distributed to Swami Desikan Sannadhis at all places

Recipient of many many awards by distinguished Desika bakthas

Revival of the temple activities at Arasanipalai village with sufficient funds

Adiyen is not able to give a complete picture about Shri Seva Swamy

because of "mantha madhi"

1. Divya Desa Mangalasasana Uthsavams at Manimandapam

uthsavam of Swami Desikan

1a Upanyasams everyday followed by Sangeetha Kutcheri by artists

2. Publishing a Souvenir incorporating and explaining in it asto how Swami

Desikan's Thirunakshatram is performed in Manimandapam from the

days of Sri Seva Swamy ( commenced by Sri Seva Swamy which is

widely appreciated and welcomed by Sri Desika sampradaya asthikas)

3. Publication of Abheetistavam of Swami Desikan on Sathumurai day

in many languages
