Dear Swamin/ Mathusri

 

Let us go to Srirangam and see what happened there after " Pinthodarnthavalli"( spelled incorrect during last part 4 ) cofidentially informed about " Namperuma"

Battars, Araiyars, select acharyals, & eminent scholars assembled at " Kattu Azhagiasinger Sannidhi". There was so many suggestions and counter suggestions but their aim was to bring back Namperumal to Srirangam. They poured many many laurals on " Pinthodarnthavalli" on her heroic acts. Finally they arrived at a decision which was thus ;--

Araiyars with select eminent scholarsshould go to Delhi atonce. They should meet the King and persuade him to return " Namperumal"---Namperumal only.After prayers at Kattu Azhagiasinger Sannidhi, a team started after infoming this confidentially to Pinthodarntha valli who was at Thiruvellarai

 

In a long gap of distance, this team accompanied " Pinthodarnthavalli" who immediately started from Thiruvellarai, ofcourse with guard of Princess. After some days of non-stop travel the team reached the palace at Delhi where Pinthodarnthavalli disappeared , duly giving signals to araiyars about her stay with the princess ,

 

The eminent scholars sent word to the King. The King readily agreed to meet them. Araiyars and these scholars entered the court-yard of the.

A few words about this King Alauddin Khilji:-

He was multi-faced . He knew many languages including bropken hindi ( at that time), well in sanskrit and prakruth, persian arabic etc etc , He liked all arts . His ministry was full of vidvans from many parts opf the Country

 

These eminent scholars after praising the king , requested him to see" Araiyar Sevai". Araiyars danced to the verses of Azhvars forwhich they selected apt "pasurams" which will kindle the divine feelings of not only members of that court but also the king--mainly the king. At some correct times, the eminent scholars explained the theme to the king. After some one to one and a half hours late in the night, the araiyar sevai came to the close. Very much mooved by the Araiyar sevai with dance etc, the king felt that the idol " Namperumal" was not only an affectionate child but also a God to these people and Srirangavasis and other

Sevarththis . He promised them that he would return the idol at that moment itself He atonce ordered to bring the idol from "zanana" of his daughter, though it was past midnight.

 

Pinthodarnthavalli who was witnessing all these from the corner of the court-yard came forward and told the king secretly that the princess cannot be separated from the idol, as the idol was in her bed-side. The king asked Pinthodarnthavalli to go to zanana and bring the idol without the knowledge of her daughter and without disturbing her sleep duly telling her that this would be a secret between them. Pinthodarnthavalli went to the zanana and brought the idol . The king took if from her and handed over to the Araiyars as unmemorable gift of the king. After some secret signals to araiyars, Pinthodarnthavalli returned to the Princess's room, asif nothing happened

 

The team praised the king very much and immediately commenced it's journey to Srirangam. with uncomparable speed. they travelled non-stop and reached the temple at Srirangam and restored Namperumal after doing all rituals as per agamas

 

At Delhi on the next day, the princess shocked to see that Namperumal was not at her bed-side. She asked Pinthodarnthavalli and other servants who kept mum and did not disclose anything. The princess became almost mad and asked her father to restore Namperumal to her orelse she would commit suicide. At that point of time the king told her that a princess should not be mad in such a way and that he would give somany idols like Namperumal to her as he gifted Namperumal to Araiyars

 

The princess ran to her room and told Pinthodarnthavalli about what her father said to her and that asked Pinthornthavalli to lead her to the place where Namperumal was now available. unable to say anything further, Pinthodarnthavalli agreed to this

 

They with few body-guards of the Princess travelled in horses and reached Srirangam
